My daughter is going there and is voting for McCain but doesn’t have a bumper sticker.
I read somewhere that the majority of 18-24 are voting McCain Palin (One thing we can thank Clinton for are the youth that were exposed to his antics College Republican membership has surged)
Pretty cool colage Jeff , thanks it’s made my day .
Hey Ed - I lived close by while hubby stationed at Pentagon (while he was there, he dodged an airplane that plowed into the floor under him...)Nice exercise and I might come to the same conclusion - but “keying” factor (another kind of Bradley effect?) may be in play. Regards to you in an out post of hell - we got out of there when we could!
I’m in Mass. Last election we were awash in a sea of Kerry/ Edwards stickers. People were even putting them on new cars *after* the election. This time around I see almost no Obama stickers or yard signs. So few, in fact, that it’s remarkable when I do notice one.
Maybe but they do serve a purpose.
when an area is blanketed with a candidate's signs it does impact the voter.
I myself actually feel depressed when see I too many Obama signs and stickers.
And as one who has ran for office, it's real nice seeing your name plastered everywhere.
I would be interesting to see what bumper stickers are on the cars in the professor’s parking lots.
There I would expect to see a lot of Obama bumper stickers.
I have got a few fingers, but...screw them.
Check out this thread from last week..... http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/2110121/posts
How did you get the cat to stay on your bumper for all that time?
YOU are my new hero - ever thought of running for office? You’d be better than any of the morons who are in office in the People’s Republic of Taxachusetts.
I’ve got a ‘98 Explorer with two NOBAMA stickers on it. I also have an ‘06 Fusion that has none.
I wouldn’t blow as big a gasket if they keyed the Explorer as I would if they were to key my Fusion.
Good data. Good exercise.
Good stuff:)
I tell ya, I rarely say "impossible", but if Obama carries NC, I'll eat my keyboard.
Of course, if Obama carries NC, we'll be in the middle of a 45-state-or-better rout, and will have bigger problems to worry about. :-)
The MSM headline for this would be:
“College students support Obama by over a 2:1 margin!”
My twin brother is a retired teacher.
When he started teaching Gerald Ford was President. It was obvious (he very loudly told us) who he was voting for in the Ford vs Carter election.
My Dad, a lifelong Republican and small business owner at the time, put a President Ford bumper sticker on the front bumper of my brother’s car one night when he came by for a visit.
My brother usually parked facing the school where he taught. For 2 weeks he couldn’t figure out why all of the other teachers at his school stopped talking to him.
I still laugh every time I think about that event. I’m sure our Dad is still laughing in heaven when he thinks about it.
