The Obama campaign sent out the prepared remarks for Barack Obama's speech today in North Carolina to Talking Points Memo.
In the speech Obama mocks John McCain over his criticism of Obama's redistributionist policies:
We've tried it John McCain's way. We've tried it George Bush's way. It hasn't worked. Deep down, Senator McCain knows that, which is why his campaign said that "if we keep talking about the economy, we're going to lose."
That's why he's spending these last few days calling me every name in the book. I'm sorry to see my opponent sink so low. Lately, he's called me a socialist for wanting to roll back the Bush tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans so we can finally give tax relief to the middle class.
By the end of the week, he'll be accusing me of being a secret communist because I shared my toys in Kindergarten.
TPM goes on to say the mockery is a sign of confidence by Obama. I disagree. The exposure of Obama's Marxist ideology has stung. Joe the Plumber, Barbara West and the newly discovered 2001 radio interviews have pulled the mask off Obama's carefully constructed facade that presents him as simply an agent of change and hope.
His red roots are showing. And he can't have that so close to the election.
Charity is not socialism. It’s a strawman.
I think he’ll call you a Communist because you hang out with Communists and take policy advice from them now.

The boys are hardwired to compete. It’s just what they do.
It prepares them for becoming men.
They get their natural human spirit crushed when they aren’t allowed to act on it.
And that is the telltale mark of communism - crushing the spirit. Discouraging individuality. Forcing everyone into a “sameness” that everyone instinctively know does not exist, nor can it ever exist.

It reminds me of the repeated comparisons they make between charitable giving by conservatives vs. liberals.
Time after time, when it comes to true charity - true “sharing” - conservatives win handily.
The libs want credit for charity when all they do is give away someone else’s money.
Then they turn around and demonize the very folks they’re stealing from.

It would have been better is he had said “next they’ll accuse me of being a secret communist because I ran to my kindergarten teacher whenever I was called a name.”
Admit it, that's very good, anticipating, mocking and preempting the opposition's next step. It also exposes McCain's campaign basic weakness - they haven't exposed Zero and his main man Axelrod's as the Communists that these two are, which is something they should have done from the very beginning. Duh!
It's a communist agitator.

What kills me is the alternative “cover” story that says...he didn’t really know what all these people were all about. He thoght they’d been rehabilitated. They’re not the people he once knew.They’re only causual aquaintances.
Yep - every one.
But the truth is in his book.
He said he chose his friends carefully.
He sought out marxist professors and radicals because he was looking for marxists and radicals.
He sought them out because he identified with them.
Not once has he ever disavowed their ideas.
It’s interesting you would word it that way.
Everyone knows Mac doesn’t have the heart for name calling.
“Commie!” sounds extreme.
But in this case, the truth is extreme.
Well, you see, Mac doesn’t have to call Zero a “Communist”, all he had to do was to point to “Frank” of Zero’s memoirs, toAyers, Odinga, etc. He has failed to do so, and that is something we will be pointing out next Wednesday, if he, God forbid, loses.
Well - he has pointed to Ayers.
And the press wants to let the stupid cover story (I was 8 yrs. old) take care of that one.
It’s funny to watch the libs act as if it is offensive and silly to bring up Ayer’s name.
But yes - leaving out Frank, Odinga, and all the rest...opportunity lost.
My fantasy is that Barack loses, and THEN investigative journalists will all-of-a-sudden “find” the real story.
Write books.
Sell movie rights.
Socialist and communist is the same thing Obummer.
