When exactly did the Bush Administration start recognizing our Southern border? I must have missed a memo....

"It's finally coming together - the cartels, the violence, the gangs," said one local law enforcement official, who was not authorized to speak publicly about recent cartel intelligence. "It's going to get worse here before it gets any better..." Time to arm up!

If we were really serious about stopping dangerous drug gangs, we'd end the failed drug war.
Notice there aren't dangerous tobacco gangs moving product over our border.

Do you think that the criminals and thugs smuggling these drugs would magically turn around and find honest work if drugs were made legal?

Yep, posse comitatus probably keeps some very well practiced snipers from taking care of these dirtbags.

1914 all over again, only with gangs and drug money.

If drugs are legal, there’s little incentive to form drug smuggling gangs.

It’s a matter of orientation. If you are looking southward at the border then you must respect the border with the utmost seriousness, if you are looking northward at the border, then it’s really not important.

When you take all the profits out of it, few people will continue on this career path.
Besides that, what is the WOD REALLY accomplishing?
Heroin is cheaper and purer than it has ever been.
Ever heard of supply and demand and how it affects price?

“and are occupying safe houses throughout the McAllen area”
Once we have 100% certainty that a particular home has dangerous, malicious drug members inside, napalm should be used.
Maybe that’s a stupid comment, but the point is; we should have 0 tolerance for these people. They have chosen to engage in domestic warfare with us, they should be treated that way.
To: Lurker
They do not want to try that crap on this side of the border.........

That's nice, but I'm asking what those criminals
will do, not what they won't because there's no market for it.
Cheaper and purer heroin just means they're going to continue operations with a stronger business model than the competition.

Los Zetas, have begun stockpiling weapons, reaching out to Texas gangs and issuing orders to "confront U.S. law enforcement agencies to zealously protect their criminal interests," the report states. No prob. Give the LEOs these
And back them up with these
Problem solved.
