You know the videotape that shows
Barack Obama toasting PLO terrorist Rashid Khalidi? The one that the Los Angeles Times
refuses to release?
"The Los Angeles Times did not publish the videotape because it was provided to us by a confidential source who did so on the condition that we not release it," said the newspaper's editor, Russ Stanton...
How frickin' stupid do they think we are? Someone gave the Times a videotape
so it wouldn't be released? And they can't publish a transcript?
I guess that's the kind of executive talent the newspaper business is attracting these days.
However, I received a tip from a person who has provided useful, accurate and unique data from LA before (e.g., "
All six of CNN's 'undecided voters' were Democratic operatives"). Take it for what it's worth, but I believe this person is on target.
Saw a clip from the tape. Reason we can't release it is because statements Obama said to rile audience up during toast. He congratulates Khalidi for his work saying "Israel has no God-given right to occupy Palestine" plus there's been "genocide against the Palestinian people by Israelis."
It would be really controversial if it got out. Tha's why they will not even let a transcript get out.
Yep, I guess that would do it.

Too bad Arnold wouldn’t have the cojones to remind the L.A. Times that they had no scruples about releasing candid tapes of HIM before elections... If only he could get his cojones out of Maria’s lockbox.

The telling thing was that they all felt like they had to admit it in subdues voices as if they were afraid of being overheard by the KGB. Your conclusion is right on the mark.
Under an Obama rule, not Administration, the word Comrade will not be used immediately, but other words and expressions will be.
You'll recognize some of the words that have been used abundantly by the MSM since the run leading to the 2006 election.
When you say abc = you will be labeled xyz
Any criticism = counterproductive
Patriotic/American = Nativist (Illegal Immigration)
Illegal Aliens = Racist, Restrictionist
Cut taxes, taxes too high = Racist, unpatriotic
WoT = Illegal War, War Monger
Stop Iran's Nukes = Interfering in the Internal Affairs of a Sovereign country
Retaliate after getting hit = Breaking International Law, the UN ruled it Illegal
First Amendment = Fairness Doctrine
Second Amendment = No such thing. Brits are long gone.
Investigate wrong doings by Congress/WH= Partisan Pig, Unpatriotic, Racist, Traitor, Distracter, Dumb, Enemy of Change and the State, Counterproductive and (maybe, after a couple of years), COUNTERREVOLUTIONARY!
Ladies and gentlemen, what a disaster that would be for our beloved America. Worse, 50% or more of Americans are pushing for it!

Somebody please 'splain to me why anyone would give a tape to a FREAKIN' NEWSPAPER and then not want it released or even QUOTED FROM? *shrug* You mean you don't entrust your secrets to the village gossip?

What if that was what it was intended for and the LA Times stabbed Hillary in the back? What if they wrote the article mentioning the tape because they fully intended to release it, but then were ‘dissuaded’ from doing so somehow?

I don't think most American Jews, at least the younger ones, have the visceral attachment to Israel. I think many of them see Israel as an embarrassment. To them Israel is something better in theory than reality.

It’s not unusual for a source to give information to a journalist “on background” (I am a journalist, by the way), which means you can use the information as the basis for your own reporting, but you can’t quote from the information itself.
But here’s the problem with the Times’s explanation: You don’t have to agree to this restriction when the source offers it. You can say, “No, either it’s on the record or don’t give it to me.” If you accept information on backgroud, it’s usually because you intend to do your own reporting, and the background information tells you where to look.
In this case, that would presumably mean they go and talk to people who were at the dinner and ask them what they heard Obama and others say. The video would let them know if the person answered their question accurately.
Has the Times done any such reporting? Not that I’m aware of. And if not, what would be the reason for accepting the video on background?
It doesn’t make any sense.

Right on - actually, it’s a win-win-win.
McCain can do serious damage if tape is played.
McCain can do just as much damage if tape is NOT played.
McCain exposes the evil of the media as this unfolds.

Rush talking right now about how Jewish voters should never vote for Obama, and yet so many are. Wondering tongue-in-cheek if Obama IS hypnotizing people.
Now he is talking about the L.A. Times and the video, with Obama praising Khalidi. YESSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!

“Moreover, what are you to Me, O Tyre, Sidon and all the regions of Philistia”
Philistines are not autochthonous to the regions of Israel/Palestine which the Bible describes them inhabiting. The Bible contains roughly 250 references to the Philistines or Philistia, and repeatedly refers to them as “uncircumcised”, unlike the Semitic peoples, such as Canaanites, which the Bible relates encountered the Israelites following the Exodus

This is what people are counting on? Sorry, folks, unless they’re breaking into a ‘death to America’ chant this is just another distraction.
Fundamentals—Economic freedom v. Economic control.
Everything else is a waste of time and will not change the dynamics of this race. It’s just that simple.

Again the jobs/economy argument is going to be a deciding factor - there are just as many apologist Jews as right wing Jews. All of my friends care about their jobs and the economy and John has been making good strides talking about the economy not this Israel/Palestinian BS. I care about America first and foremost right now not pandering to elderly Jews in Florida. Florida is already McCain territory and a lock

Talking to a lib is like trying to win an argument with an irrational person. Cant be done.*shrug* You can't use reason to change a belief that wasn't arrived at through reason.
You can use emotion and feelings, though...
