God I hope this is true. That really did make me feel better. Maybe there is hope for this human race after all.

Because there are smart, patriotic, fair minded Americans of all shapes sizes and colors...as this proves.

Very much appreciated.

We work with a fair number of blacks in DC. Many are for Obama, and that’s understandable on the racial pride front. However, I was surprised at how many have expressed serious concerns, some of which have been posted in the thread.

Great post, and very encouraging. I myself am one of those rare birds, a black conservative.

Funny that I should bump into this post - I just spent the last two hours surfing black conservative websites and forums. I had no idea there were so many.

There is an honest and growing movement of conservatism in the black community. It’s still small, but thanks to the internet, a lot of folks of like mind in the black community are beginning to network and build coalitions.

In my opinion, blacks are going to become a high profile presence in the Republican party over the next four years. We’re only beginning to see the tip of that iceberg right now.

While it is heartwarming to see these Black individuals express such views, I prefer to think of them as my fellow U.S. Citizens, a group of people who are as loyal and loving of this nation as any other U.S. Citizen. Their skin color means nothing to me.

Let’s get real. I don’t know of a single White Conservative that would be upset that a Black man would become President. When the right Black man comes forth, he’s going to get my vote. And he’ll get my vote based on his sound vision for where this nation needs to go. Show me a guy who is a U.S. Citizen and is green, and I’ll vote for him if he has the right core values.

J.C. Watts was one of my favorite Congressmen. He always had a positive attitude. As far as I know he always came down on the right side of issues. If I learned more about him and my perception held up, I would vote for that guy without hesitation, to be President of the United States.

As a White person, it is sad for me to see Blacks cast nine of ten votes for someone who will simply use them, exploit them, race bait on behalf of them.

I have long held that Blacks don’t have to vote like I do, but their votes should reflect the society at large closer than it does today. When that vote does mirror the society at large, racism will truly have become something from the past, that many of us wish hadn’t happened.

Republicans do not hate Blacks. They want them to lead happy successful lives. How could they do that, if they were not financially successful? Republicans support a business environment that floats all boats. That is a solid loving policy. It isn’t pandering like the Democrats do. It is truly teaching a fellow man how to fish, instead of keeping him down on the plantation, where he has to beg for one continually throughout the decades.

I believe Blacks will be better served, by the policies of John McCain. I believe that, because I think all Americans will be best served by his policies vs Obama’s. And so I wish good things for Blacks over the next four years. I wish them to benefit from a more sound nation. Wishing that for all U.S. Citizens, how could I think any differently when it came to Blacks? I don’t focus on Blacks, but addressing their actions during elections on a thread like this, I do want it clear what my hopes for them, for all of us are.

Thank you for this thread. Excellent views were expressed in your post. They sound like FReepers this go round.

“3. Senator McCain does not support the SB2433, the Global Poverty Tax. This bill written by Barack Obama mandates that an 845 billion dollar tax be extracted from Americans on top of the support we willfully give to the third world. This payment amounts to a 255.00 payment per month be given to people outside the United States whose income falls below our standard of living. This tax will be collected by the IRS, given to the United Nations for distribution which will find its way into the despots instead of the poor its intended to.”

This paragraph right here is quite a selling point for ANY American, regardless of party leaning, to reject an Obamanation. WOW!

Actually, it is quite specifically Black people who SHOULD vote for McCain. If you’ve put in the blood, sweat, and tears to pull yourself up by your boot straps and build your life and the lives of your family into something good and noble and admirable, you certainly don’t want everything to be pulled down by a hard Left socialist who’s planning to tax everything of any value, and regulate everything having to do with economic gain. You’ve worked hard and you’ve made it; do you want it taken away for the sake of yet more Liberal giveaways calculated merely to garner the votes of the mob who covet what you’ve earned? Not if you’re sane, you don’t.

Poorly-written sentence. The tax most likely would, as intended, find its way into the hands of despots instead of the poor.
