AGI - Rome, 28 Oct - ''Our nightmare is that in the end the huge consensus that Obama has gained will not transform into votes''. In an interview with DNews a few days before the US presidential elections, David Axelrod, strategist in Barack Obama's campaign said he feared a comeback by Republican McCain. '

The propaganda in this case is the polls that have been overweighted for Democrat voter turnout. Axelrod’s complaint seems to be that the voters may be too dumb to know Obama has it in the bag or they may be too angry and bitter to care and will vote against Obama in spite of the polls.
Another possibility that Axelrod doesn’t mention and may not even have considered is that the voters are too smart to believe the polls.
Non satire ping!
Hey Axelrod, there never was this so-called “consensus” except within the media circle-jerk..... oh, and with your international audience that cannot (legally) vote in US elections.
I have been thinking for about 2 weeks now that people will soon suffer from 0bama “fatigue.” This guy is on thousands of radio and tv commercials in South Fla. I think the 30 minute infomercial may backfire.
Mary Matalin described 0bama to a tee...she said he’s like the beautiful Italian opera, where you go and cry over how beautiful it is, then when you finally get home you wonder “what the heck did she just say?”
Well, they say that once a person gets in that voting booth, it comes down to “pocketbook” issues.
And folks are starting to get the idea that Obama wants his hand in their pocketbooks -
and they don’t like it.
don't forget the leg tingles too
Don’t his words belie whole Messiah thing? I mean, after he has convinced his acolytes that He is the One, why should they believe He needs them to get Himself elected? What kind of Messiah needs that? Did Superman need Lois’ help? His own strategy of marketing Obama as the Second Coming may undercut his pleas for votes on election day.
What’s interesting is to contemplate what The One might say to his followers if he has to concede after the election? Will He incite them to go on a rampage like his “cousin” Raila, or find some way to let them down that He isn’t the Messiah after all? He certainly hasn’t allowed himself much of a middle ground on which to say, “Good try. Let’s move on and work towards 2012.” I expect this hasn’t really entered his fevered imagination that he might have to give such a speech.
Isn’t this the same guy who just announced a clear path to victory?
Bipolar?
What a moron. This is the same dork that was just running his mouth off to Major Garret about a clear road to victory and 400 electoral votes.
Why am I suddenly reminded of a little fable involving a tortoise and a hare?
Easy. We're a week out. The Obama campaign is now shifting from "drive the Republicans to dispair with phony evidence of inevitability" mode to "zap the base with a cattle prod to get them to the polls" mode.
bttt
“Hes speaking to his own followers, I think. Trying to make sure they come out to vote. But his fear is well founded, I think.”
Yup.
Exactly. I suggest Axelrod wear some Depends next Tuesday night. I think things could get ugly really quickly.
Barama has serious issues.
Sarah has problems too, some see her as a rube(She isnt)
McCain? (Well, He is just an erratic old codger, that could kick the bucket in a moment)
Barama/Biden? L0L L0L
These two are worthless. Public opinion will come to a head this week.
Keep on message RNC, Keep showing how worthless Biden is and what a Radical Barama is.
Bama/Biden make our ticket look like a Superstar, and the truth is Palin is a serious sweeper and Ol John knows the ropes.
Do it! McCain/Palin go for reform! Run the RATS out of the House and Senate!
YUP, AND REPUBLICANS, DEMOCRATS, INDEPENDENTS AND UNDECIDEDS KNOW WHAT TO DO ON NOV 4TH - RIGHT? VOTE!!!
Rush has said all along the polls LIE.
LOL. If a huge consensus doesn’t translate into votes, then it’s not a huge consensus, is it? It’s just a bunch of poll-driven nonsense hype.
