Articles don’t get posted to digg.com...links are...if people click on the story, they’ll come back to FR for the original article.
“Bawney” ??
:-)
LOL...now we’re catching on!
Bumpin’ for later!
The digg badge is served from the digg site. Having one, two, thirty, three hundred will not increase FR’s bandwidth requirements.
Embedded videos are served from the video site.
(:
Then why did GGG say the following?
“DO NOT PROVIDE LINKS TO NON DIGG ARTICLES AND VIDEOS. IF YOU WANT YOUR ARICLE OR VIDEO TO BE CONSIDERED, PUT IT ON DIGG FIRST AND THEN PROVIDE THE LINK.”
How do we put an article on Digg, first, and then provide the link to it? This is precisely what GGG said in his initial thread posting.
Like I said, I don’t think he knows what he’s saying. We need to source the article with a URL to the news source first in FR. He’s telling us not to do that anymore, but to put into the URL for our new threads the Digg reference.
It’s crazy.
Rat infested public “favorites” or “Bookmarks” with public comments . Also you can vote up or down on a story/( bookmark/favorite)
Post an article at FR
Post a link to the article at Digg
Digg up the link to FR
It's entirely uncomplicated.
HAVE BEEN THROUGH THE FIRST 20 PAGES AT DIGGIT
Am going to keep at it until I find a conservative article.
NOT ONE GOOD CONSERVATIVE ARTICLE.
Lots of junk from huffington post.
How do we get articles we see here listed there?
I thin folks would do well to sight up and weigh in. . . could make a difference in the election.
Hitting “bury” a few times can give you great pleasure..
I believe that is only for this thread. We are going to choose the top ones.
I don’t think you understand what you are saying.
Or you don’t understand what he is saying.
There will be a daily DIGG thread on FR whereby Freepers can link the articles they have posted on DIGG so that Freepers can go help push them to the top thereby getting more conservative exposure.
The link part is referring to don’t post links to unposted DIGG articles on the daily DIGG thread. Only post URLs/links to DIGG posted articles so that one can go directly to them.
That’s my understanding.......
It is supposed to be an FR post with 5 video and 5 article Digg links. The point is to send FReepers over to FReeper-selected Digg links and vote for them by hitting the Digg button, thus Digging them to the top so more and more people will be exposed to what we read or view here everyday.
Example:
You post an FR link over at Digg, which means the FR link becomes a Digg link. However when the reader/viewer clicks the Digg link, it take them to wherever the article/video is. If it’s an FR link, then the Digg link will take the reader/viewer right to FR. Conversely, you would not use the FR link on FR, it’s already here. You would use the Digg link so that FReepers will be taken to Digg, and thus Digg (vote) the link to the top over there so that more and more Diggers see it, click on it, thus taking them back here.
If you still don’t understand what I’m talking about, try another FReeper who is familiar with Digg. Maybe they can explain it in a way you can understand.
While youre at it take all your smart ass supporters that havent even been here a month with you!
Are you saying Jim Robinson is a smart ass supporter? I DO BELIEVE Jim has been here longer than you./s
How do we get articles we see here listed there?
You have to post the article on DIGG with an original source link or I guess it would be okay to link the source as the FR thread. I’m not sure about that but I’ve seen articles posted on DIGG from sources other than the original.
Don’t forget, you can search for them too. Set the selector to “all articles” instead of “front page” articles, and then type the search into the search box.
Example:
Try searching for “Ayers Genocide” and see what happens.
I just created a Digg name “DeepProbe”....
Backhoe and Excavator were already taken and Blackhoe, while availible, seemed a little edgy.
So, DeepProbe it is...heheh
