If you have cable, you don't need a Nielson-thingie. I don't know if satellite is the same but why not? I spoke with Time Warner and was told they can and do track number of viewers through the cable. That was they said how they can estimate viewers for the debates etc. Helps those d@mn commercials know where to best run. So watching Obama would indeed boast his ratings!
