Just as his latest CD "That Don't Make Me A Bad Guy" hits store shelves today, Toby Keith tells People magazine he'll be voting Republican come November 4th, solely because of Vice-Presidential contender Sarah Palin. "I think she is the best thing in politics at that level I've ever seen. I hate politicians, and she's as far from one as you can get. She's a mother, she's a human being. And I can sympathize with her. She went from being an unknown governor to being on the cover of every magazine." Believe it or not, Keith is a longtime Democrat, who says he's now registered to vote as an independent.
"That Don't Make Me A Bad Guy" is the second album in a row Keith has produced himself. The first single, "She Never Cried In Front Of Me", currently sits atop the Billboard country chart. Toby's next release will be "God Love Her" and he's already made a video, his first one in a year and a half.
"She Never Cried In Front Of Me" is Keith's 24th Number One.
Keith has sold more than 25 million records in this decade alone.

And you could have won the cheesecake.
What happened to her career? I thought she was a terrific performer, but I can't remember the last time I heard a song except on the oldies station.

Did you read the article?
that’s not what he told People magazine. Do you speak to Toby frequently? If so, tell him I’d like to join him on the sidelines of the OU games sometime.
Zell Miller is a democrat too. ;o)
Gee... it seems he changed his mind... some people see the truth as well... the truth.

You will have to do a Google. Keith endorsed Hussein several months ago because he wants to continue making bad movies and he knows without the blessing of the Messiah it is back to the honky-tonks for him.
“This is interesting, because my understanding is that Keith is a dyed-in-the-wool Dem.”
Yea, I remember a story posted right here on the FR. I’m glad he came to his senses.
Toby Keith was on Fox ‘n Friends on Saturday morning a couple of weeks ago...promoting his new “movie”...he said he was voting for Obama...that’s when I wrote him off my “good guy” list.
Especially if he's still an Oklahoma resident - it will be a McCain blowout. But the thought counts!
I recently had a three day visit from my old friend Lacy J. Dalton. Woo boy........the vehemence she has for Sarah is scary. I just kept my mouth shut. I was stunned.

I’m sorry to hear that. But as far as I’m concerned Lacy J Dalton can shove it.
I see other women go stark, raving, bat-guano crazy at the mention of Palin's name and all I can think to myself is, "you feel envy."
Welcome home, Toby!
Early on in the campaign...prior to Sarah being chosen as VP candidate, Toby Keith Covell had stated he was voting for Obomber. But, I would believe what he has now told People mag. She has probably changed his mind. He has not made a big deal of his support for Obama in quite some time so I guess he has had a change of heart. Shows the power of Sarah.
Not true.
Toby Keith seduced by Sarah Palin

Longtime Democrat Toby Keith is registering to vote as an independent and says the left wings verbal attacks against Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin could lead to a win for John McCain in November, the singer-songwriter said Thursday (Oct. 2) in an interview with CMT.com.
Keith also cited erroneous headlines and reports in the media indicating that he supports Democrat Barack Obama.
I said that he had a chance to win it as the [partys] best candidate since Bill Clinton, Keith said. I said McCain is very able to run this country, too. Very qualified. ... They didnt put anything about McCain and Palin. They just put that Toby Keith supports Obama.
Keith said the Democratic party no longer represents his views.
Ive been a lifetime Democrat, and Im re-registering this year as an independent, he said. Its strictly [because] my party, that Ive been affiliated with all these years, doesnt stand for anything that I stand for anymore. Theyve lost any sensibility that they had, and theyve allowed all the kooks in, so Im going independent.
Hes convinced the attacks on Palin are likely to backfire on the Democrats.
Its just like this: If I was a strong supporter of Obama and Biden ... the kooks in the Democratic party this extreme left are hammering Palin so bad, that theyre gonna cause John McCain to win this thing, he said.
Who is that?
Bizarre, literally was just watching “How do you like me now?”
on Youtube.

Toby’s sorta growing on me.
He jumped up with a bunch of other country stars right after 9/11 and it seemed like just a bunch of opportunistic musicians trying to cash in. Alan Jackson was the worst.
Lately, though, I think I might have misjudged him.
He seems like a pretty straight shooter and may honestly believe what he writes.
