ordered it right after he was pushed into the public limelight, and she claims that it wasn’t political. Just standard operating procedure.

Ohio’s inspector general is investigating why a state agency director approved checking the state child-support computer system for information on “Joe the Plumber.”

Helen Jones-Kelly, director of the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, confirmed today that she OK’d the check on Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher following the Oct. 15 presidential debate

It's apparently only illegal to look-up Democrats. I remember earlier this year someone being fired for looking up tax information using IRS computers, but I can't remember who it was. In any event, if this P.O.S. and her subordinates looked up Joe the Plumber without cause, they should be fired. If they gave information to any outside source, they should be prosecuted.

Were the political parties reversed, the perp would be hounded out of office. As it is, she will be given a promotion in the coming Obama Socialist Worker’s Paradise.

She states an example of a lottery winner that they checked. Umm..did Joe all of a sudden come into a lot of money when he asked that question? This is such bs. If she doesn’t get fired I throw up my hands on all things political.

Part of the point that I was trying to make was that there has been a double standard of behavior for the two political parties for a long time in regards to the issue of privacy. I don't have a problem with the WH being taped either, but I do have a problem with the Dems finding it offensive and outrageous when it was Nixon, when they had been doing the same thing for years.
Because the members of the GOP for years have found jobs outside of the government to be ideologically preferable to being a government employee, our bureaucracy is filled with Democrats. It is a basic difference in the basic outlook of of a Dem versus a GOP. So, unfortunately, we have a system that is always stacked against us if there is a way to use the bureaucracy to invade our privacy.

They didn't just find it outrageous and offensive. They found it illegal. Which it was then and still is now.

I agree with your point on the double standard thing, though.

I'd've thought that's why we have law enforcement. To take the politics out it.

Note to law enforcement: Silly me :(

No.

Invasion of privacy is a 13-year old seeking and paying for an abortion, no questions asked.

Invasion of privacy is harassing 2 homosexuals engaging in sexual activity in a city park restroom.

Director Helen Jones-Kelley is the director of Ohio Child Support. The director’s office number is:

Phone (614)466-6282

Call and let them know you are not happy with her injecting politics into protecting children!

JFK installed the taping apparatus. His tapes are still sealed from the public.

LBJ’s tapes were released and revealed a culture of corruption (including a blackmail letter he held from the Houston Chronicle where he had them swear to give him only positive press in exchange for permitting a bank merger to go through).

Couldn’t Joe the Plumber go after these people for invasion of privacy?

Joe the Plumber (God love him!) can do LOTS of things. However, in the current political ebvironment, until the dust settle next Tuesday, his best option is to let it pass. He's already on the Obamessiah's radar and will be one of the first to be sent to a "re-education camp" under an Obama administration.

I'll be joining him soon after!!
