10.27.08 Video: John McCain Talks To CBS 4 - Miami, Ft. Lauderdale
- - All eyes are on Florida as a key state to win the 2008 presidential election, and because of this both candidates are doing heavy campaigning throughout the state, and addressing problems that affect our state in particular. John McCain talked with CBS4's Antonio Mora, in a one-on-one interview about what his plans are for the economy. And he addressed a not so flattering record that Florida has broken this month. We now rank number two in the nation when it comes to foreclosures. Nevada ranks number one.

10.27.08 News Herald: Poll shows Obama with slight Florida lead - - A newly released poll for a Miami television station shows Democratic Sen. Barack Obama with a slight lead over Republican challenger John McCain. Florida has 27 electoral votes, 10 percent of the electoral votes needed to win the presidency, and both candidates have been campaigning throughout the state, with a particular focus on the so-called "Interstate 4 corridor" from Daytona Beach to Tampa, where many swing voters are thought to live. The poll of 600 likely voters statewide was conducted Oct. 23-26 by Suffolk University for WSVN-TV in Miami. The results were Barack Obama 49 percent, John McCain 44 percent. The poll found that Obama had a 46 to 45 percent margin over McCain among those who said they were very likely to vote, but Obama had a 60 to 40 margin among those who said they have already cast an early or absentee ballot. A Suffolk poll conducted in late September showed Obama with a 46 percent to 42 percent lead overall. Sampling error margin plus or minus 4 percentage points, larger for subgroups.

What does the most recent Mason Dixon poll say?
How many people did Palin draw in her Florida visits?

Someone here on FR posted a pic of Obama at a stadium in Tampa that held 11,000. It looked like he had 2,000 people. This was 2 or 3 weeks ago.

Bush packed the place in 2004. Another FR member posted a picture of the Bush rally.

Mason Dixon gives McCain a one point advantage, but their last poll was on the 21st, so they’ll probably put another one out this week, maybe he’s lost ground.

The paper said the Tampa Convention Center crowd was “more than 5000”, but my husband and son were there and they said the place was packed out, standing room only, and they’d estimate 10,000.

In Kissimmee, she filled the venue and I think they said 7,000 in attendance. Then she was in Asheville the same night. A friend went to that, she filled the venue which held about 8,000 and my friend said there were more people outside than inside the venue.

Sarah pulled big crowds in Clearwater, The Villages (north of Orlando), Kissemmee, Tampa.

Obama pulled a joke crowd in Tampa, pulled supposedly 10,000 in downtown Miami at rush hour before a Heat game a few blocks from the arena. I never saw the pics so I bet he pulled a lot less. He probably gave away tickets to the game because the Heat stink.

I am not sure how many Obama pulled in Orlando but he may have had a concert or something like his usually scam rallies with opening acts.

Obama will have fall off versus Kerry from Jewish voters, blue Dog Dems and Hillary PUMAs. Remember Hillary stomped Obama in the primary.

50% Hill, 32% Obama and 14% Edwards. This means 68% of Democrats voted against Obama inthe FL primary.

In addition and IMPORTANT NOTE:
Republican total votes versus Dem were 200,000 more Repub. If the Blue Dog Dems drop off for Obama along with some Jewish votes and the Dems had 200,000 few votes in the primary then Obama has problems. Note the Dems knew going into primary that their votes might not be counted so it depressed the turnout a bit.

There was no Op Chaos because Repubs had not decided the race yet. McCain beating Mitt in FL pretty much decided the race.

Florida I think comes down to two things:
1. Repubs will hold their base but how many Dems will vote against Obama. My guess is MANY Hill Dems are still angry in FL - more so than in other states. Jewish voters have problems with Obama.
2. Obama will lie about MediScare.

The PUMAs are saying that all but a few polling outfits have Obama people working in them. RCP is one they named with Obama people.

This goes back to NH where the pollsters had Obama winning big and Hillary won NH. Then it happened in other states where Obama underperformed his poll numbers.

Pensacola is located at the Alabama border !
If there really was crowd which I doubt.
It was the blacks from Mobile and S Alabama.
Now we are posting slanted polls from the hard lefties in S Fl which is NYC with Palm trees .
Polls from such sources as Sleaze 7 and CBS In Miami are a joke.
These lefty stations are part of team Obama.

Um, OK, but I live in Oregon, and I’ve already sent in my vote.

What is your point?

He probably gave away tickets to the game because the Heat stink.

Not this year. 44-38, anywhere from the 4 to 6 seed, 2nd round playoff appearance. Bank on it.
