Notice that all the bad things that have happened once the Democrats took back control of Congress in 2006:

- the stock market has collapsed.

- the housing market has collapsed.

- oil prices have skyrocketed.

- the budget deficit has soared.

- government now controls private banks.

The lesson to be learned from this? Elect Obama at your own risk.

Voted today in San Antonio, TX for McCain/Palin. Polling place very busy - waited 30 minutes. Didn’t look like many new voters. More blacks than I expected for our part of town, but still a minority. Hispanics are much more prevalent and could go either way. I’d say average age about 35-40 for voters. We do not allow same day registration here.

I can’t claim credit...I got it from Petronski who I think got it from someone else.

“The race doesn't ‘continue’ to tighten it is already way past tight. Vote McCain and quit worrying about the frickin’ polls, they are useless.”

You nailed it. Thank you.

I don’t think the youth are as liberal now as they were in past decades. Could it be due to abortion, possible gay factor, higher rates of STDs causing infertity in liberals, etc.....?? I don’t know. Just wondering....

It's an interesting point. I was very liberal when my daughters (now 19 and 21) were little and I never talked politics with them. Figured they would make up their own minds.

I have had to work really hard to deprogram them. Now with my son who is 15, I am very adament about who to support. We've instilled a love of the country, the military and a very conservative mindsight.

As for Obama’s 30 minute show. Wouldn’t it be perfect timing for an October surprise hours before it? Something crazy, and then he would have to use the time to defend himself with excuses instead of sell himself.

I’m sure this is a prerecorded little video pimping Obama as a nice patriotic family man, with smiling relatives and friends talking up his love of country and family, and soft music will be playing in the background. It’s about making Obama appear “safe” to vote for, and I think this decision lets you know his camp fears the polls are not true, and people do not know O enough to really vote for him.
It’s NOT a speech, that’s for sure.
I don’t expect an October surprise before it happens.
I hope, but don’t expect.

The point is, hopefully these undecideds will swing toward McCain.

my undecided sister just recently decided to vote for McCain... this will be her first time not voting for a Democrat...

Obama is under 50%. This is good. Obama keeps slipping and McCain keeps rising. GO SARAH!

Zogby is a liberal supporting, Arab sympathizer. Do we really care about his rigged polls?

“Obama may be able hoodwink a few more people”

He’s already hoodwinked a frighteningly large number of people already. I think they expect to get a stack of freshly printed $100 bills on their doorstep every month or something....

Exactly - in fact it has just as good a chance of turning people off because he’s bound to say a few things that people don’t want to hear. When you are ahead you say as little as possible. For him to go on air for 30 mins is a huge mistake, imho. Could cost him the election because if there is only 6% undecided, he risks pushing some of his marginal voters into undecideds and turning some undecideds decidedly against him because of something they saw, heard or interpreted from the long-winded pitch.

I gotta think the purpose of his infomercial is designed to get out his base, and will end up being quite vacuous and muddled as a result. If he attacks he will look mean, and if goes into detail he creates issues to be used against him.

We’ll see.

Obama has his 30 minute commercial on the major networks.

That should sink him!

What do you mean, O+1, are you saying that on Monday alone that is what he polled, or are you saying the 3 day average will reflect that? Or was that a joke?

How much did that cost, the 30 minute spot, didn’t I hear somewhere it was 1 million dollars, are you telling me that McCain can’t find a million to have his own half hour deal, McCain could run it Monday night.
