Skinheads planned to kill Obama and 102 others in Tennessee.
Federal agents have disrupted a plot to assassinate Barack Obama and shoot or decapitate dozens of black students in Tennessee, the ATF said Monday.
In court records unsealed Monday, federal agents said they disrupted plans to rob a gun store and target a predominantly African-American high school by two neo-Nazi skinheads. Agents said the skinheads did not identify the school by name.
A source in the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives told FOX News that the two skinheads, who were picked up in Crockett County, Tenn., were plotting to shoot 88 black students and decapitate 14 others described as non-whites. The source said officials believe the suspects were planning to attempt an assassination against Obama.
The numbers 88 and 14 are symbolic in the white supremacist community.
But officials could not describe how advanced or credible the plot was, nor could they say if they had contacted the Obama campaign.
Jim Cavanaugh, special agent in charge of the Nashville field office for the ATF, said the suspects also sought to go on a national killing spree, with Obama as its final target.

ATF Arrests Arkansas, Tennessee Men in Plot to Kill Obama

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - Two men have been charged with making threats against presidential candidate Barack Obama.
Daniel Cowart, 20, of Bells, Tennessee and Paul Schlesselman, 18, of West Helena were charged in a federal complaint last Friday of illegal possession of a sawed-off shotgun, conspiracy to rob a federal firearms licensee, and making threats against a major candidate for the Office of President.
According to the complaint, Cowart and Schlesselman met via the Internet through a mutual friend last month, with both men claiming to have very strong beliefs regarding “White Power” and “Skinhead” philosophies.
The complaint said the pair discussed robbing a gun shop in order to gather weapons and ammunition to use in a ‘killing spree.’
On October 20, 2008, Cowart allegedly traveled from Tennessee to Arkansas to pick up Schlesselman in order to carry out their plan.
According to the complaint, the defendants further discussed their killing spree to include targeting a predominately African American school, and to continue their spree until their final act of violence, which would be to attempt to assassinate Obama.
Officials said Cowart and Schlesselman stated that they would be willing to die during their attempt.
The pair was arrested on October 22, 2008 by the Crockett County, Tennessee Sheriff’s Department.
Cowart and Schlesselman appeared in court Monday, and are scheduled to appear again at a detention hearing on October 30th.

If it can be shown to me that liquidity had frozen up two years ago, or that it hadn’t frozen up two months ago, I could be persuaded that this topic is similar.
The American people are a savvy bunch. They are able to take a look at Reno, the Democrats, and realize they forced the introduction of the unrealistic real estate loans to people who couldn’t service them. They are yet today trying to keep those types of loans alive, even in the midst of this meltdown.
So I think the Democrats will get some mileage off this situation. And folks learn what they have just forced on this nation, they will lose much more support than they have gained.

Anybody else thinking...since when does ATF take the point on assassination plots? And mass murder? FBI? Homeland Security? Secret Service? I can believe any of those...but ATF?? Has your BS detector gone off yet? Mine has.
Why are we getting leaks from an unidentified ATF agent on a plot where the “skinheads” are unidentified even though they have been arrested and the number of victims keeps changing by the minute. This whole thing stinks!!

Did you like the timing of Charles Schumer, tipping the first domino he knew from insider information was a bank in trouble, causing a run on that bank (Indymac) which started the dominoes to fall at just the right timing for the democrats who were not getting traction since they were being exposed as at fault for the housing crisis?

Those are the guys. The arrests happened in August, the plot was judged “not credible” back in August, and somebody wants to make it front-page news in the week leeding up to the election. Sounds like media manipulation in a desperate attempt to get the “socialism” meme off the front page.

But the timing seems highly political.
If the ATF knew about the plans for months - but chose this time to spring it - a week before the election, then we have a problem.
If the ATF knew about the plot and waited until it could effect an election, they are wrong. But the MSM gave Fannie and Freddie a pass and I'm sure they'll give these people one too. The MSM doesn't look too closely when an action helps a dem.
