Skinheads planned to kill Obama and 102 others in Tennessee.
Federal agents have disrupted a plot to assassinate Barack Obama and shoot or decapitate dozens of black students in Tennessee, the ATF said Monday.
In court records unsealed Monday, federal agents said they disrupted plans to rob a gun store and target a predominantly African-American high school by two neo-Nazi skinheads. Agents said the skinheads did not identify the school by name.
A source in the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives told FOX News that the two skinheads, who were picked up in Crockett County, Tenn., were plotting to shoot 88 black students and decapitate 14 others described as non-whites. The source said officials believe the suspects were planning to attempt an assassination against Obama.
The numbers 88 and 14 are symbolic in the white supremacist community.
But officials could not describe how advanced or credible the plot was, nor could they say if they had contacted the Obama campaign.
Jim Cavanaugh, special agent in charge of the Nashville field office for the ATF, said the suspects also sought to go on a national killing spree, with Obama as its final target.
I have no truck with skinheads. And violence is not the way. It’s immoral, it’s murder, and it doesn’t accomplish anything.
Fox is reporting it as a plot.....not an attempt....

The headline on Fox says it was AN ATF discovered plot. Guess who would benefit from a hyperstrong federal government....

And just a reminder, for all the real good that may have been intended with the patriot act, the teeth it gives a liberty-antagonistic federal government could rival anything seen in ewwrup and the ussr.

attempts to kill political figures always backfire unless the attempt succeeds because of the sympathy vote, that is, those who feel outrage at the attempt that fails - so Obama will get a few votes out of this - not that many but if it is close it will help him - if he had been killed imagine the scenario - Biden would NOT be at the top of the ticket - the DEMS would pick Hillary to top it - the riots in the cities would be immense and the Republicans would lose big time in both house and Senate - if an attempt would succeed after the inauguration then Biden would be the President and he would appoint Hillary as his VP - and we would be no better off - so those who think killing someone is going to solve this nations political problems is just plain stupid

That one on the right looks like the hillbilly from the Simpsons. I wonder how many plots that the ATF has broken up to hurt President Bush. I’d imagine this is more common that what we know. I do question the timing of the release of this info.
I kinda agree, but I think it energizes his base to get a few more lazy bums out to vote who otherwise would have sat at home all day spending their welfare check. On the other hand, even if it doesn’t significantly affect turnout (especially since the threat is being described as “not credible” - meth heads don’t make good long-range assassins), it helps stir up unrest if Obama loses. The other side will not only say we cheated, but we planned to kill him if we didn’t win.
Where are the indictments or any other legal proceedings?
Frankly, I don’t see how this stops his slide. I think these types of events are bad for Obama, as they bring out another doubt about electing him. I just don’t see how this helps him, and I for one believe he is going to lose to McCain on Nov 4th regardless.
This may be just another excuse the media makes for his loss.

Oh how predictable. Unfortunately for obama his words cant be taken back from the audio tape and this story will die tomorrow. Ive said this and I will say it again. Metropolitan cities will BURN Nov 4th from outrage when Obama LOSES!! Racism will be the cry! This event only sets it up to be worse
