Dear Red States:
If you manage to steal this election too we've decided we're leaving. We intend to form our own country, and we're taking the other Blue States with us. In case you aren't aware, that includes California, Hawaii, Oregon, Washington, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois and all the Northeast. We believe this split will be beneficial to the nation, and especially to the people of the new country of New California.
The real split is more urban/rural than state vs. state. They can have Detroit and Chicago for all I care. We’ll end up with the farms, the manufacturing (since inner-city factories are the ones least profitable and closing the fastest), the natural resources and the productive folks. They get a bunch of white-collar workers who think bureaucracy and financial paper-shuffling makes something useful.
I guess that means that elitists will be stuffed into just a few states w/ a high percentage of minorities, illegal immigrants and union workers then too?
Huntsville, Alabama is one of the fastest growing high-tech areas in the country.
Dibs on mineral rights.
Fine, you get Chicago and the highest sales tax and highest murder rate.
Got no problem moving to Kentucky. Got a lot of nice hosses down there.
Easy..yawns....oil. Ours. Not yours.
You might want to provide them with the blue vs red election map which shows voting by county. They don’t really get to take whole states just a bunch of counties. Many of those “blue” counties have very difficult issues rather than an infrastructure and skilled population capable of starting and running a new country.
Great thread !
Oh this is easy. While they may have Microsoft and Intel on day 1, I’m willing to be they won’t be there long. Confiscatory tax rates, stagnant growth, communism, etc. will drive the producers straight to us.
If they promise to do this, the first order of business on our side would be to ammend the Constitution so that the taxation rights of the gov’t are dictated in the Constitution. Nothing over and above the dictates therein could be legislated. One can dream....
Another thing, seen the “Bush Country” image that shows red/blue by county? Maybe we could just wall off the cities and take the rest?
Since our aggregate divorce rate is 22% lower than the Christian Coalition’s, we get a bunch of happy families.”
Bullshit. Correction: you get all the fags; we get all the guns.
Everything else in the post was true, and a deal that we’d be ok with.
Dear Blue States:
I am one of you. I will work with my friends in the Red states and in the red areas of our state to be a perennial fifth column and pain in your ass.
-Freeper in a Blue State
So is Round Rock, Texas.
Dear Blue States,
You also get a few million of your former neighbors operating as gorillas in your own back yard.
I’d take that deal in a heart beat. :)
You get Detroit, Milwaukee, South Central LA, Compton, Philadelphia, DC, Baltimore, and East St. Louis.
Don't forget Buffalo, Cleveland, Hartford, Chicago and Gary.
Dear Marxist Wingnut:
Thank you for your well reasoned defense of the Electoral College.
Two points:
First, the red state vs. blue state narrative is a little stupid. Go check the county breakdowns. With the possible exception of MA, CA, DC and HI I think every state is a ‘red state’ - some just have big blue cities.
Second, to accept the author’s premise and offer a counter - we have probably 80-90% of the military personnel, private gun ownership and men willing to defend their territory and way of life. You have a vast majority of all violent crime. Have fun.
This seems to be a common theme on the Left - we don’t like you and we’re leaving. If more liberals had the courage of their convictions, we would gladly wish them well in their journeys to more suitable nations.
Dear Blue STates,
Take New Orleans and it is a DEAL!
