Spreading the wealth long time value of Obama
The Pittsburgh Tribune Review ^ | Salena Zito

Posted on 10/27/2008 8:24:41 AM PDT by Salena Zito

Barack Obama's statement to “Joe the Plumber” about redistributing wealth was not an off-the-cuff statement. Obama stood by it in a recent interview and has been reinforced by his own words in this 2001 audio of an interview he conducted with a Chicago Public Radio station, where he says that has been a tragedy that “redistribution of wealth” is not pursued by the Supreme Court.

Not a problem, if your values are progressive or left of center, but makes anyone that has a healthy distrust of government doling out your hard earned money squirm in their seats. This is not about the wealthy elite; this is about the guy who has a homemade “Joe the Engineer” sign in his yard in my neighborhood.

Two Lincoln quotes come to mind:

No man has a good enough memory to make a successful liar.

You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time.

This county’s founding fathers said; “the power to tax is the power to destroy”

Americans are not happy or comfortable with concept of “spreading the wealth around”, unless you’re part of the non tax payong 40%!

To expand the concept of the use of publicly collected taxes to go beyond “helping” the unfortunate into redistributing the wealth from those who have “more than enough” to those who don’t “have enough,” that is a giant step for our government in a new, wrong direction.

Sweet sweet sweet.

This story is everywhere today.

Obama’s own words once again bite him on his lying socialist ass.

if this doesn’t bury him than nothing will. Here we are in horrible economic turbulence and BO wants to take more money from those who earned it and give it to people who he feels deserve it - and I wonder how many of those would look like his mother.

I don’t believe Obami is as much lover of equality and making things fair as he is stupid. He just isn’t a very bright guy and genuinely believes everything will be so much better under pure socialism because He is running things.

In other words, he’s an airhead.

Actually, now that I think about it, the redistribution of wealth is a winning one for Obami. 40% of the electorate is for it, thanks to immigration and the public school systems.

If obami wins, in 10 years we are France.

“...tragedy that ‘redistribution of wealth’ is not pursued by the Supreme Court.” This pimple has a degree From Harvard Law School, and this is what he views the role of the Supreme Court to be. Seems to me we redistributed too much money when we paid for his education.

Hey, people said the same thing about Marx. And the results have been nothing short of tragic for tens and tens of millions.

How true! BHO has been groomed since infancy to push the party [i.e., Communist party] line. Bill Ayers, Saul Alinsky, et. al. must be proud of their disciple.

And what is wrong with good old-fashioned philanthropy? Get up in the morning, make as much money as you are able, and choose to whom you shall give it away to.

But YOU always retain the right to choose to whom you endow with the fruits of your labor. This right may never be delegated without assurances that your wishes shall be recognized and acted upon.

Funny, I have yet to see anything on CNN or MSNBC...

Even CBS, CNN, and MSNBC will have to cover it now. It's public, in enough of the mainstream press that they'll have to explain why it's no big deal at the very least. This is as big as the October Surprise four years ago with the word-processor letter on George W. Bush, except that instead of being "fake but accurate" it's just accurate.

Subject: The good news...please pass this along

Finally, 232 years after a little clique of white male oppressors saddled Americans with the phony “blessings” of unrestrained markets and a handcuffed government, with untold harm to the deprived and deluded masses, we are finally about to set things right by electing Barack Obama.

We are about to put an end to miserable free markets that make poverty and unhappiness for so many of our citizens. They can no longer exist within such an unfair, out of date, archaic and cruel system. Never has it been more clear, that freedom has been a noose around their necks. They and the accepted list of oppressed groups, require our continued assistance and we are finally going to put systems in place which will keep them in need, which is as it should be.

We are on the precipice of creating a powerful state that is infinitely more just in deciding who receives the fruits of the collective labor. We will never again allow free and open markets to confuse and deceive the populace. No more will people have the unchecked opportunity to reap what they sow.

All I see on the news is how "Obama has a big lead" and how John McCain thinks he can still win. but then saying how he's been deserted by Republicans, How Sarah Palin negativity over wardrobe is hurting the McCain camp.

No negativity about Obama at all unless you can Saturday night live's skit on the Obama's negative.

Media is saying no matter how you try, the numbers just don't add up for McCain.

Lying media will keep ignoring anything and everything negative about Obama right till the end, so it's up to us to get it out there.

Print up stuff and post it on community bill boards, stuff them in the paprboys papers, leave them on mall benches, docs offices, anywhere you go. put them on car winshields in parking lots.

One week to go.

"This pimple has a degree From Harvard Law School, and this is what he views the role of the Supreme Court to be. Seems to me we redistributed too much money when we paid for his education."

This is classic Liberal thinking. They think the courts should govern and make law, not up hold the laws of our constitution, which is living doccument anyway, subject to change with the ages and societal behavior.
This liberal thinking has even found it's way into the church, with some churches like the united church believing that the Bible, God's law itself, a living document subject to change as the morality of society changes.

Governments job is to recommend more laws for the court to decide on. People don't matter at all except at election time. but they are easy to manipulate via media.

I had a friend who went to Harvard Law in the early '90s, and this is the crap that they were peddling then. We had some very long debates back then, and we're not friends anymore. Most of the profs at Harvard Law are Marxists.

A Harvard Law degree is worth the paper it's printed on, but not much more.

I bet those people that Obama wants to redistribute this money to:

1. Buy expensive shoes
2. Loiter on the sidewalk outside my office instead of working.
3. Watch a lot of a cable television channel that rhymes with the Egyptian god of storms.
