Although the legitimacy of Sen. Barack Obama's birth certificate has become a focus of intense speculation – and even several lawsuits – it has been learned that Hawaii's Gov. Linda Lingle has placed the candidate's birth certificate under seal and instructed the state's Department of Health to make sure no one in the press obtains access to the original document under any circumstances.

That was actually my original guess ("Mohammed"). Not uncommon from what I've seen.
Don't know why a Republican governor and friend of Palin's would seal it, though -- except maybe to keep it from "walking".

A poster stated the other day that lack of citizenship does not prevent a person from running for president, but it does prevent a person from taking office. obama knows this and his goal is to create a constitutional crisis. Just as you hear with these released audio tapes, he doesn’t respect the constitution so expect seismic activity if he wins.
The ‘COLB’ produced by obama and on factcheck is a proven fraud. The fact that we are having this discussion is an obvious sign that there is something wrong.
Open adoption records were sealed...
Inside adoption files were not... His mother remarried. His step father adopted, not from his mother, but with his mother.
If this story is true, the adoption took place in Indonesia, making Obama an Indonesian citizen, not a US citizen.
Maybe that's why she sealed it? To keep his operatives from getting it? I have seen the Governor of Hawaii strongly support Palin and I don't think she's acting in Obama's interests.

an idea—since we ALL are descendants of Adam and Eve...We all are related to Barack Obama...having LEGAL authority to obtain his birth certificate. Since that would get laughed out of court....we need to get the genealogy people in action. Anyone related to Obama? Get your hands on a birth certificate.
There is definitely something Obama is hiding in this birth certificate. Is it his place of birth? I tend to think it is something more embarrassing—maybe his Papa isn’t who he thought it was. Or something else.
He also has not released anything relating to his birth—selective service registration, college transcripts, medical records....
something is embarrassing in that document he doesn’t want people to see.
So then, the man with no background, no college history, no friends from his neighborhood, no pass whatsoever, now has no birth certificate as well. He comes onto the scene with no experience, and what little he does have is far, far left, and has caused a large part of the population to rally to him despite their inner warning system, which you can bet is ringing like a 5 alarm fire, yet the cheer for him, lead us !! lead us !!!

That’s an interesting point. I never had really considered it before, but you know, even with all the scum of the earth politicians we’ve had through the years, it seems that most of them at least had enough honor (or sense of shame?) to resign if they got caught with an intern, or if they lied under oath, or whatever.
Now, the scum of the earth seem even scummier than ever, and have no shame or sense of decency at all.
How did he get a U.S. Passport? How did travel to Pak when it was a no go zone? If he used an Indonesian pport, is he still an Indonesian? Is it a felony to use fake documents to secure U.S. Pports? Just wondering.....

The difference being that there was existing federal law that covered that particular circumstance, and specifically makes someone born under his circumstances a natural citizen. McCain's birthplace is what gives Obama the cover of "moral equivalancy".
Frankly, I think the fact that for the first time in our nation's history there is a question as to the citizenship of the primary presidential candidates, and the issue affects both candidates is proof that these candidates were selected by someone pulling our strings.

It’s so glaringly obvious to anyone who will take the time to listen ... Obama is HIDING something. It would have been so easy to get the Berg lawsuit (and the others that are popping up) by just presenting a birth certificate. Obama couldn’t present the one that was posted on his website because it has been proven to be a fake.
But, you’re right. Obama is hoping that he can win the election without having to show a valid birth certificate and then when it’s showen that he doesn’t have one, it would be viewed by the media as a “mere technicality”. Also, they’d do the “Supreme Court trying to give the Presidency to Republicans, just like in 2000” nonsense.
Kind of makes you consider MORE the comments Obama made about the Constitutions being “flawed”. Yeah, we can’t elect someone not a natural born citizen.

The BC on his web site has already been proven a fake. He can’t deliver that one to a court without committing fraud.
He also can’t deliver a different BC now without admitting he committed campaign fraud by posting the other one on his site...
He’s in a legal corner here... All he can do is sit on it and run the clock out.

HIs COLB was what his mother or grandparents originally obtained when she returned to Hawaii to “register” his birth (possibly in Kenya)
His new birth certificate from adoption probably has his names shown as Barry Soetero - this would be equally embarrassing because he probably never legally changed his name (back?) to Barack Obama, and as “Barack Obama” starting in his teens or 20’s, he probably never admitted on law school or other records to using aliases or other names
Barry Soetero was also registered as “muslim” on his Indonesian papers
There is also a constitutional matter of him probably not having taken steps, when his mother dumped him back on his grandparents at age 10, to give up Indonesian and regain his American citizenship by age 18 - his passport and oath of citizenship documents were requested as part of the Berg lawsuit filing
Some speculation that his school (college) records are sealed because of his name and possibly his nationality on his school records! He may have obtained loans or scholarship aid as a foreign student!
She is only upholding the law of Hawaii. And I'm sure there is a good reason other than that. Possibly to keep it from being "tampered with"? until after the election when it might come into play. I'm guessing on that.

Could be ... but I don't believe the FEC's charter is to establish qualifications; they're just in business to ensure that the election machinery itself is operating according to law.
I believe that the matter of qualifications is left up to the States; and in that case, I would think that at least one of those offices would have positively established the qualifications of ALL candidates on their ballots.
Which raises the question: with all of the lawsuits and hoo-raw, has anybody bothered to ask their local SoS whether or not they've certified eligibility?
