But Mr. Obama will most likely be our most liberal public policy president since Franklin D. Roosevelt.
So where is the new Obama administration likely to take us? Seven things seem certain:
The U.S., military will withdraw from Iraq quickly and substantially, regardless of conditions on the ground or the obvious consequence of emboldening terrorists there and around the globe.
....
Income taxes will rise on middle- and upper-income people and businesses, and individuals will pay much higher Social Security taxes, all to carry out the new president's goals of "spreading the wealth around."
Federal government spending will substantially increase.
Federal regulation of the economy will expand, on everything from financial management companies to electricity generation and personal energy use.
Free speech will be curtailed through the reimposition of imposing the Fairness Doctrine to limit the conservative talk radio that so irritates the liberal establishment.

Anyway, I think Europe should be the most worried about the Europeanization of the USA. After all, there is not one socialist system in existence today that is not propped up by the USA by foreign aid, military protection, or both.
If the USA goes socialist, it will crumble under the economic stress of entitlements. Soon, there will be no money or military for Europe.
Russia's recent Georgian invasion clearly shows the Bear's intentions. Without the USA, Europe will all be speaking Russian.
I fear another World War, truly global in it's reach in my grandson's lifetime.
How To Be a Good Dictator
When Josef Stalin was on his deathbed he called in two likely successors, to test which one of the two had a better knack for ruling the country.
He ordered two birds to be brought in and presented one bird to each of the two candidates.
The first one grabbed the bird, but was so afraid that the bird could free himself from his grip and fly away that he squeezed his hand very hard, and when he opened his palm, the bird was dead.
Seeing the disapproving look on Stalin’s face and being afraid to repeat his rival’s mistake, the second candidate loosened his grip so much that the bird freed himself and flew away.
Stalin looked at both of them scornfully. “Bring me a bird!” he ordered.
They did.
Stalin took the bird by its legs and slowly, one by one, he plucked all the feathers from the bird’s little body.
Then he opened his palm. The bird was laying there naked, shivering, helpless.
Stalin looked at him, smiled gently and said, “You see... and he is even thankful for the human warmth coming out of my palm.”

We are about to be plucked...
You raise some interesting points. I did NOT immigrate from one socialist country (Canada) to another one.
This is why I feel so confused when I hear 75% of Jews are voting for Obama.
The “Russians” (Soviets) and Chinese are looking at this election as their opportunity to attempt a convergence strategy with the US.
We have been so weakened by TV, public schools, print media, I think the Muslims and Commies would take 90% of America without so much as a whimper.
Most of those Jews voting for Obama also think that Israel should surrender to the terrorists in Palestine.
...and have you noticed the government has its hand in literally everything we touch...from the airplanes we travel in to the food we eat, the money we earn and send to them, the license for our car, our dog, our gun, our fishing license...we have educational loans, small business loans and home loans all underwritten by the government.
They monitor most everything we do, except for what’s important, like our borders and the freight that arrives from overseas.
“Virtually anything under the control of the government can be used by the government as a weapon against the people.”
Correction: Delete “can be used” - insert “will be used”
Virtually anything under the control of the government will be used by the government as a weapon against the people
None of this will occur. IN 4 years, Everybody will be cryin for Palin to reverse all the taxes & corruption just like she did in Alaska.
Average double digit unemployement, culture of entrepreneurship destroyed by quotas and regulations, price fixing schemes that lead to shortages, cradle to the grave welfare, the government and all services becomes one big unionized labor force like France where everyone wants a government job because you can’t be fired and means benefits and pension for life, secularism replaces religious worship, people spend most of their 20’s in subsidized college plans and refusing to work, taxed more than 50% on all earnings and consumer goods, large sections of the country become no-go zones filled with immigrants who seek to setup their own justice and social systems.
Don't forget that he specifcally mentioned equal in POWER.
Now, riddle me this one please; what exactly is a national police force with artillery, armor, attack helicopters, close air support bombers, nuclear and chemical weapons supposed to DO?
And some post-born, too. Obama voted in IL to make sure that babies who survived an abortion procedure could still be terminated. Forget partial-birth, they coould be fully-born, and he wanted to make sure that they still were expendable. Our future President. Heaven save us.
“I did NOT immigrate from one socialist country (Canada) to another one.”
ME TOO!!!!!
I know of a wonderful woman who fights on the side of the angels. Her name is Sarah Palin.
Great way to make it real!
Yeah we really need apaches and drones cruising over our homes every day.
Also where does he say his wealth re-distribution is limited to the US?
Obama stated he is a ‘citizen of the world’, which makes sense - considering he is masquerading as an American citizen.
Pete forgot about the imposition of a huge new federal gasoline tax. Especially since the price at the pump has fallen, Barack Hussein Obama and his thugs will want to swiftly impose a new per gallon gas tax.
As Obama has said $4.00 a gallon is OK with him, I expect to see at least a $.75 per gallon tax if not all the way up to $1.00 per gallon. Indexed for inflation of course.
