My son needed a birth certificate to sign up for hockey. In fact, most age-grouped sports require it.
I wondered the same thing on another thread. He must have an IL driver’s license. How did he get it? If he really isn’t eligible, then the only reason everybody is holding up the works is to protect the Republic. For O to get this far without anyone questioning his citizenship status, means that the election process is a joke, and that the alphabet agencies are not doing their job. This would tear the Republic apart, spark riots, force marshal law, etc.

In order to be qualified to be a waitress at a local Senior Apartment complex, I had to have a criminal background check completed and pass it, get my fingerprints done and pass a drug test.
OK I was also born in 1961 and things have changed.
School: not sure. Based on My enrolling my 1/2 sister in ‘86. Wasn’t asked for birth certificate only records from previous school. May have had to provide BC at first school.
driver’s license: No the only thing required was proof of age.
Passport: Not sure only one I ever had was required by USAF and they handled paper work.

No. The state department accepts a Letter Of No Record if the Birth Certificate is not available.

A Passport is acceptable to satisfy the points of identification requirements.
Yes, you need a birth certificate for all of these and that is why this issue is bogus. Obama attended a private elementary school as well as numerous other US institutions. This issue is really not about whether Obama is a natural born citizen, but whether his mother was married when he was born. If you have read DREAMS OF MY FATHER, you’ll see that the details surrounding their “marriage” are murky. The reason is because both families - the American and Kenyan - were opposed to it.
You do not need to present a certified photo copy of your original birth certificate to apply for a US passport. Go to the website for apply for US passport and read up on the allowable forms of identification.
Good points. I think we even needed them to get our kids into hunter’s safety. A routine requirement for numerous things.
