No. It wasn't Ayers's terrorism that attracted Obama. It was Ayers's leftist revolution. We can take Obama at his word that he condemns the bombings. But Obama was front and center for the revolution. Ayers's revolution is Obama's "change." Ayers's "participatory democracy" through "popular empowerment" is Obama's ACORN. Ayers's rage against the criminal justice system [Obama wrote a rave review in 1997 of Ayers's "a Kind and Just Parent," a leftist polemic against the criminal justice system] that paints America as an apartheid state and prison is Obama's "searing and timely account" description of Ayers's book. The joint Ayers/Obama pursuit of "social justice" is seen in their joint underwriting (through the Woods Fund) of Marxist black-liberation theology at Jeremiah Wright's church, and of Khalidi's Arab American Action Network - an organization that condones Palestinian terrorism while promoting public welfare and drivers' licenses for illegal aliens in the U.S. Further, when it comes to "education reform," the most significant of the duo's shared passions, capitalism is the root cause of racism, while Hugo Chavez's Venezuela is the "beacon to the world."

Yes, woe to our children, who have been fed a diet of Marxist indoctrination. But, it’s not just our children who have drunk the koolaid. Our society has been brainwashed big time for the past 40 years and large numbers of “educated” people cannot think for themselves about what leads to progress and what to servitude. Critical thinking is dead, the history of Marxism and Communism’s brutality and utter failure are not taught, and puppetlike phrases take the place of real discussion. The best country in the history of the world has been eatern away from within and not by accident.
I think one illustration of this is the fact that Obama even today won’t admit the surge has succeeded in Iraq. What’s frightening about this is not just that he’s clearly wrong but that it reflects a mentality that rigidly rejects a changing reality that doesn’t conform to pre-conceived notions. Pretty dangerous for a possible president. Also, it’s a fact that for the Left bad news for America is good news for them and their political agenda. By the way, when Stalin invaded Finland in the “winter war,” the Russian army was at first devastated and humiliated. It showed the first serious failure of the Stalinist regime which had purged the best generals along with millions of others.
That's exactly how I see it. One day soon a couple of generations of America-hating "Americans" will wake to the reality they've traded their hard-won freedoms for authoritarianism that will morph into totalitarianism. The anti-war crowd has never been about stopping war. They're interested in stopping only wars that keep America free and productive.
I agree. And the most frustrating part is I've watched it happening over all these years and have been powerless to stop it, or even convince my loved ones it was happening. Never underestimate the influence of 'popular culture' in this disaster. Wait until the "Fairness" Doctrine is reestablished. Then the real brainwashing will begin.
I agree it would be a temptation to despair for the children if Obama is elected. It is very hard to face the fact that I should have pulled my only surviving child out of the public schools and either homeschooled him or put him in a small truly Christian school. I didn’t realize where the education system was headed way back then. As a result, he is entrenched in the liberal camp. - My BIL is a teacher who resisted joining the teachers’ union for many years, but last year, a year before his planned retirement, announced that he HAD to join it. ?? One doesn’t ask him “why” about ANYTHING, so I’ve begun, frankly, not caring to ask him anything as I’ve had my head taken off many times with accusations of “getting into HIS business” (which is not true as he was the one who bragged about his “strength” in not succumbing to the union).
I agree. It may sound corny and melodramatic but I SERIOUSLY fear for the future of America if Obama is elected. Snarks-when-bored told us about an intelligent friend who is oblivious to all the terrible realities and facts about Obama’s life and career. I’m afraid this is all too typical. Add such people to the blacks and the far-Left groups that see “change” equated with a hatred for our system of government and we’ll probably end up with Obama. Throw in a weak economy and the future looks bleak.
Right - but with an Obama as President along with Reid and Pelosi running a Democratic Congress, the alternative media is at serious risk. How? The FAIRNESS DOCTRINE! That’s our next big battle. Get ready!
