President Obama? Not so fast, says The New Republics Noam Scheiber. John McCain doesnt need a catastrophic external event to defeat Obama on Election Day, Scheiber says.
I happen to think Obamas chances of winning are upward of 80 percent, he writes at The Plank, his magazines political blog. He later adds, But, truth be told, I can imagine a losing scenario that doesnt involve outside events. It goes something like this: Obama wins all the Kerry states plus Iowa and New Mexico, giving him 264 electoral votes, then narrowly loses the rest of the red states where hes currently competitive.
"Obama loses if he wins all the Kerry states except Pennsylvania, even if he picks up Colorado, New Mexico, Iowa, and Virginia.
I LOVE it.....
The size of the winning margin in PA for McCain/Palin will shock!
It explains why all the time spent in PA for McCain-Palin lately, doesn’t it?!
Good strategy, Karl.
The undecided voters are mostly those who were hesitant to confess that they are McCain supporters out of fear of being called racists.
I’ve been shocked in the past when they’ve gone for such losers as Gore and Kerry. I don’t expect to be shocked this time. “Fool me twice....”
:(
I supposed lardass Murtha is also going to get tossed? Color me skeptical.
If Obama loses, the headlines aren’t going to be ‘MCCAIN WINS!.
It’s going to be “OBAMA DISENFRANCHISED...CHEATED OUT OF PRESIDENCY!
Mark my words..
Yeah...
I read that yesterday...
I think CO and VA are gone.
FL, OH, PA. McCain needs all 3.
Plus either to hold NV or win NH. And watch for MO turning.
Co & Va will be in the McCain camp.
Unfortunately, the size of the fraud in Philly is more likely to be the shocker, and as usual, it will be totally ignored by both the Democrat and Republicrat parties in PA.
No, not at all. Once you get up to 108% there's not much left to shock anyone.
“Once you get up to 108% there’s not much left to shock anyone.” It’s been higher than that and if I had to bet, I’d guess it will be approaching 120% this election. Interesting the way the census says the population dwindles while each election the number of registered voters increases. P’burgh is no longer a problem like it used to be because the population has shrunk to the point that if 200% of the population voted, it would be a drop in the bucket.
