Check this thread! Not only was the PDF of the decision I referred to a FAX -- it was a FAX of a FAX. This thread claims that the decision was written elsewhere (by the DNC?) -- and then sent to the judge for him to sign!!!

FYI to all: PACER stands for Public Access to Courts Electronic Records and is a site one can subscribe to for all sorts of information on court cases.

Why was the PACER system “links” in the Berg v. Obama docket disabled just MOMENTS before the decision was faxed out? PACER links are based on the CM/ECF (Case Management/Electronic Case Filing) system, which actually contains the docket entries. PACER is just a web front end. So... maybe it's possible that the backend system was offline or swamped due to volume, and so PACER could get it's info and punted.

The good judge probably doesn’t do his own typing. I could see a scenario where his clerk or secretary types in the final edits at another location and faxes it to him, and he signs and refaxes the final decision.
That said, I could see the words being his, but buy into all sorts of corrupt, politically motivated judicial behavior. I just don’t see this as proof. Anywya, someone should be able to check the other FAX number.
