"We are profoundly saddened to tell you that our dear Anne has lost her struggle for life. It was our hope, as was yours, that Anne would overcome the injuries inflicted upon her in the brutal attack at her home. We were with her in her last moments, and although our hearts are broken, we are at the same time comforted by our faith knowing that Anne is now with our Heavenly Father.
The outpouring of compassion we have received is truly a testament to the way in which Anne has touched so many people in a positive way. Thank you for your prayers and your many acts of kindness. We are grateful for the wonderful care Anne received from her doctors, nurses and others at St. Vincent.
Our lives will not be the same without her. We ask that you continue to pray for us as we struggle to move forward without our dear sweet daughter. We also ask that you give us the privacy we need at this very difficult time."

I thought this was going to be about Barbara West.
May she Rest In Peace.
What sad news!
No, murder.
The death of the anchor, Anne Pressly, was announced by her parents through St. Vincent Infirmary Medical Center. On Friday, it had been reported that Ms. Pressly was somewhat improved, although still in critical condition and unable to communicate verbally. Her doctors had described themselves as guardedly optimistic that she would recover.
Our condolences to her family. Very sad.
Doctors say nearly every bone in her face was broken.
Presslys father believes that she was targeted and that the crime wasnt a random attack.
KATV, Pressly’s employer, released a statement from her parents saying they were with her when she died.
The credit card of a television anchor woman left in critical condition after a brutal beating in her home was used in the minutes following the attack.
Anne Pressly’s credit card was used at a Shell gas station near her Little Rock, Ark., home between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. on Monday morning, an attendant told America’s Most Wanted.
Another Shell employee told FOX16.com that the security cameras “are everywhere” at the station.
Detectives continue to search for the blunt object used to beat Pressly around her head and upper body.
Oh no. I thought her condition was improving.
A bizarre story. It seems odd a thief would hold that much rage against a stranger to beat her as much as he did.
How many years is it since Jodi Huisentruitt of Mason City was abducted and disappeared from the face of the earth? That case was never solved.
I do wonder if there is any connection.
As of now there are no concrete leads. This thing has shocked the whole city.
