The Barack Obama campaign called Barbara West's interview with Sen. Joe Biden unprofessional and combative.
The veteran WFTV-Channel 9 anchor-reporter says she asked pointed questions and respects Sen. Biden, who is Sen. Obama's running mate.
In a call to me Friday evening, West (pictured) said of Biden: "I have a great deal of respect for him. I have a great deal of respect for Sen. Obama. We are given four minutes of a satellite window for these interviews. Four precious minutes. I got right down to it and, yes, I think I asked him some pointed questions. These are questions that are rolling about right now and questions that need to be asked. I don't think I was rude or inconsiderate to him. I think I was probing and maybe tough. I can't believe that in all of his years in politics, and all of his campaigning and such, that he hasn't run into some tough questions before. He's certainly up to it in giving good answers."
Here's the interview:

They don’t have to answer real, tough questions. They are the chosen ones.
Given the fact that a CNN reporter asked Governor Palin a question based on an entirely false quote, and never apologized to the candidate, I don’t think Joe should feel too bad.
I wonder, when they go to Iran to meet (without precondisitons) if Actung-mini-me-Jihad will be rude to the boys?
Poor babies.
Good grief.
This brave lady had better watch her back!
The Obama campaign whined about WFTV being “unprofessional” when it dared to dish out some tough questions to Vice President hopeful, Joe Biden.
The Obama spokesperson issued this statement about the interview:
“There’s nothing wrong with tough questions, but reporters have the very important job of sharing the truth with the public — not misleading the American people with false information. Senator Biden handled the interview well; however, the anchor was completely unprofessional. Senator Biden’s wife is not running for elected office, and there are many other stations in the Orlando television market that would gladly conduct a respectful and factual interview with her.”
“This cancellation is non-negotiable, and further opportunities for your station to interview with this campaign are unlikely, at best for the duration of the remaining days until the election.”

She did a good job.
Thank you Barbara, for asking the tough questions.
There was nothing wrong with that interview and Biden did ok with his answers
But he hasn't, because the media is full of fellow travelers who mollycoddle Marxists and treat Christians like cryptonazis.
She was just asking questions in the manner a journalist is SUPPOSED to ask the questions. The pressing ones, the questions that viewers need to hear the answers to. Many in the MSM have either forgotten how, or never knew how, to ask.
If Biden is whining about this he is a big, oversensitive b00b, and a very BAD liar to boot.
She let him slide on ACORN. Biden should be licking her boots. Nowhere was it mentioned that Obama gave ACORN $830 thousand dollars earlier this year, for it to register voters for him. And what I want to know, has that money run out?
You can get about 33 full time employees for a full year for $25k each, out of that $830 thousand.
You can also get about 60 full time employees for six months or about 47 for 9 months for that cost.
How about it Barack? Are they still on your dime or not?
Didn’t Biden say repeatedly that the Obama campaign hadn’t given any money to Acorn? I thought they paid Acorn for part of their get out the dead voter effort.
Obama’s response to the interview:
WFTV??
WTF?
Finally a good interview! This lady bravely asked questions that the MSM had not dared to ask from this perfumed prince of Washington.
Welcome to our world.
Too bad, I guess, that it could last for the next year. Makes Biden look like Pelosi. Wonder how the folks on the train with Joe every day feel about his new “look”.
