"People ought to be very skeptical of leaked (exit poll) results they might see between 5:00 pm Eastern Time (2200 GMT) and when the polls close on November 4,"

Ya think? Make that by lunch time, Eastern Time.

We all need to get the word out. The MSM favorite scheme is to suppress the vote in key western states by calling eastern states early. This tactic will be worse than ever in 2008.

Exit polls should be banned full stop. they create nothing but havoc and they mean nothing, only the final result means anything.

There should be a total ban on any polling data, early results, or prognostication on election day until the last polls are closed. Just STFU about it.

You would think they would have learned their lesson after the exit poll fiasco of 2004.

Man, I never thought about that in terms of the 3 western swing states. The msm will be doing anything they can to make sure McPalin supporters are deflated by results in the east. Disconcerting.

Michael Barone stated on FOX News yesterday that the main problem they are having with polling today is that nearly 60% of people that they attempt to poll refuse to take the survey.

He said that evidence shows that Republicans were more likely to refuse than Democrats.

Barone stated that this applies to all polls, but especially to exit polls.

Maybe instead of lying to pollsters, we should tell them how we really feel.

It is just so hard not to lie to them, I love knowing they just shake their heads for months wondering what happened.

Heck, if they ask me I'll tell them I'm supporting Obama.

If they ask "Why?", I'll explain:

"Because the capitalists pigs must all be brought down by the fires of the new socialist revolution!!!"

Yep, that's what I'll say...

Then I'll look hard at the nearest elderly Boca couple walking in to vote and tell them "You're at the top of Obama's list...right along with Israel!" and give a little Hitler salute.

(I just threw up in my mouth a little...)

Ok, so I won't do this. But I have to ask, just what in heaven's name are people thinking if they vote for Obama?!? What do they expect will happen and can they be so stupid to by the same lies that Lenin, Hitler and Chavez used to gain power?

On presidential election day, November 4, all eyes will be on what exit polls say voters did, and analysts fear they could give a rosier view of support for Democrat Barack Obama than reality. Will all eyes really be on the exit polls after they were so badly botched in 2004?

I’ve got a good idea...don’t do exit polling. What purpose does it really serve other than to give the networks/MSM something to flap their jaws about.

How about this as a call to action:

If any FReepers are asked anything by any exit poller(s): here is your retort:

“I voted for my Messiah Obama. Thanks to my ACORN registrations, I’m going to the next presinct to vote for my Messiah Obama again.”

I don’t want to look at the exit polls, but nothing will be able to stop me from checking Drudge and this website obsessively on Election Day.

If the exit polls show a 5 point or less lead for Obama in the battleground, I will feel nervous, but McCain will be in the game. If Ohio, Florida, and Virginia show a McCain lead, Obama will be toast.

"...that might lead to some overstatement of the Obama vote," said Herb Weisberg, a professor of political science at Ohio State University.

You mean kind of like the "landslide" the exit pollsters had lined up for Kerry by the afternoon of Election Day 2004? Like that?

“Obama’s most fervent supporters, often younger, more politically active and in many cases better educated ...”

I don’t buy that Obama supporters are ‘better educated’ .. they may have more schooling, but better educated? I think not.

I am ashamed of the impatience we all express on obtaining results. There should not be a single vote discussed from any state, including exit polls, until after the Hawaii and Alaska polls have closed.

What's the big hurry for something this important? Get it right, not get it fast. What is this... a Burger King or MacDonalds? Can we be serious about anything?

Of course all that heavily sponsored election day coverage wouldn't happen. Is this about money? ...oh sorry.

I thought billions of people were standing in 5 hour long lines to vote for Obama right now. What use will an exit poll be on November 4?

Polls were only off 7-10% during the primaries.

I wonder why the media would think any American would vote for a communist just because they are black.

I don’t know what the process is for exit polls but I think that all of us Republicans should try to be exit polled. We should tell the pollsters that we are Democrats, we support Hillary Clinton for President in 2012 and voted for John McCain to keep the White House warm till 2012.

If enough of us did that and if McCain won the election, it would make heads explode in the Democrat Party and the MSM. It would also ensure a Civil War in the Democrat Party.

They better start eying it now! They are already trying to throw the election by saying it is over, that dems are outvoting Republicans in early voting, blah, blah, blah.

Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't the MSM decide not to call any states until 10:00 pm in 2004 because of 2000 ?
