ST. LOUIS (AP) -Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin dropped the ceremonial first puck at an NHL game for the second time this month.
The Alaska governor and self-described "hockey mom" got more cheers than boos Friday night before the St. Louis Blues hosted the Los Angeles Kings.

I heard the Flyers have gone winless since she was booed.
Yup, as of the other night they were winless.
Playing Devils now.......don’t know the score.
Missouri must go McCain!
Things haven’t been going to well in Pennsylvania; Flyers winless, Murtha calls PA citizens racist.
Hopefully a McCain/Palin win will help turn things around there.

Flyers are winning 5-3, 3rd period..
With any luck so will The Obamessiah.
Sarah Palin is a “Hockey Mom”, not a Hockey player. Big difference. Now if she was playing basketball....
They won tonight so I geuss the curse is over.
Well, this can’t be right—more cheers than boos?
After all, the UberObama had a rally here last Saturday with 100,000 people attending. /s
Darn, I was hoping it would turn into a Boston Red Sox type curse that’d last decades.
Drat, Flyers won.
“... more cheers than boos..”

BS AP(ropaganda).
Sarah, Todd, Willow and Piper received not just cheers but a sustained standing ovation.
If you put your ear up to the TV you could MAYBE hear a few class-warfare losers, trying real hard to make their boos heard.
Overall a perfect cap to yet another overwhelmingly successful day for Governor Palin (SRO at an outdoor venue, in Springfield, MO earlier today).
The players in the box are applauding!
I forgot to set up my DVR to tape the Fox West feed of the game...I’m guessing that Messrs. Miller and Fox would have showed the puck drop. Perhaps they’ll show it at 2nd int.
BTW...current score is 2-0, Kings, 5:40 remaining 2nd.
Cam Janssen and David Boyes were interviewed before the game and were clearly excited about her appearance.
I don’t think either Plugs or even the Messiah would have generated close to the same positive response.
I don't know why...but the sight/sound of "hockey applause" always touches me. I was hoping, while driving home, that some of the players on the bench would be tapping their sticks on the boards. Looks like it happened!
Fox Midwest showed live coverage of about 60-90 seconds.
Also, check the YouTube link above.
Could either of them hit the ice with the puck?
