She’s a sick girl- she has my sympathy. Drudge is the one who should have known better- he dragged us into this with his blood red headline about the “mutiliation” of a “20 year old woman.” Of course that will get our outrage going. Anyone who purports to be part of the media should at least make the basic inquiries into the facts before blaring a headline. Without Drudge this is just a minor story.

Having said that, McCain and Palin handled this just right, so I don’t see this damaging them. Drudge is another matter, though- now it will be harder for us to run Rev. Wright ads because everyone will scream “oh look, the nasty Republicans are appealing to racism again.” Thanks for nothing, Drudge.

Drudge isn’t to blame for reporting a “developing” news story. It’s the responsibility of the reader to think, question, and check further.

Not enough of the right thinking, questioning, and checking further has been happening here lately. JMHO.

Thank you. Mine, too. I was thinking about it since I read the article last night, was wary as it was, a need for attention, she needs the right kind of help if she can ever get it. She did commit a criminal act, hurt some people, but hurt herself and possibly her family worse.

I don't think trashing her is the right thing to do.

drudge acted like a fool. As i told another freepwr, trace a letter on your face with the tip of your finger. Feel the pressure. Now imagine a big thug is doing that to you, with mal-intent, and with a knife! There is no way it would be as shallow as that SCRATCH that lady had! Even a 3rd grader would have inflicted a griveous wound.

I will not be surprised if the Hussein birth certificate is also a rope-a-dope. No way Hussein got this far without powerful enemies who fight dirty (like Hillary) missing out on this. No way!

(Back Pat) I was one of those who were oepnly skeptical last night and predicted this would turn around to bite us. The harm will be the next time the blogosphere has a harmful tidbit on Obama they will point to this and say, “there they go again...”.

If I was paranaoid I would suspect this was orchestrated just for this end.
