A Pittsburgh police commander says a volunteer for the McCain campaign who reported being robbed and attacked near a bank ATM in Bloomfield has confessed to making up the story. Police say charges will be filed. More details to follow.
Once the shock value wore off after an hour or so, I was pretty skeptical...hard to believe she is such an unstable attention whore that she would pull this.
That is how it will work. MSM will portray this as McCain’s Abu Ghraib. That he has nothing to do with this won’t change the reporting.

My guess is she saw how “Joe the Plumber” was doing well with his new found fame and this was her way to do the same, clearly though, she is a democrat and used thier hand book whereas Joe is your typical hard working American.

I figured Drudge must have done some basic fact checking before blaring a headline. I’ll admit it- my blood pressure shot up 30 points when I saw that big red headline on Drudge about the “mutiliation” of a young woman. That’s a very emotional accusation, which means Drudge should have been extra careful before reporting on it.
