That’s a very emotional accusation, which means Drudge should have been extra careful before reporting on it.

Well, it was initially a legitimate news story in that a police report was filed.

Then her story began to unravel.

What a shameful thing for someone to perpetrate—whatever her motivations were. I trust that if she were a McCain volunteer, she’ll be quickly cut loose. The last thing they need are people like that on the team.
