All of the class “A” (voting) shares are privately held.

Why? Printed media is on the way out. A lot of people I know have stopped having home delivery of newspapers. Most are now getting their news via the Internet.

I think it is just WRONG that all these people buy one of their papers in a stand and take the rest and pile them for free on top of machines to spread the wealth of knowledge around...just like Obama with your wallet.

Just WRONG.

What happens when the share-price goes below the price per copy?

If the stock hits a couple of bucks, we could buy it and turn it profitable ... as a 5 borough deals and wheels throwout sheet.

They roll up all the stock certificates and sell them as wall paper at Home Depot.

Watch it implode here!

http://finance.google.com/finance?q=NYSE%3ANYT

I’ve seen it go from 9.80 to 9.65 Just while previewing my post (and 10 other Freepers snuck in ahead of me.)

Oh Well, that 1.39B market cap is sinking fast, it probably is close to what Rush would pay, trouble is, 87% of the stock holders are institutions.

A friend of mine makes a mint on local newspapers and singles papers. Lots of stuff sells in print. What definitely does NOT sell...is liberalism.

Just made new low $9.55, even as Dow bounced 50. Perhaps $2.00 by Jan 1st.
