More Than 3,000 Academics Sign Pro-Ayers Petition (Mega Barf Alert)
FoxNews ^ | 22 October 2008 | FoxNews

More than 3,200 supporters -- most of them educators -- have signed a petition protesting what they say is the "demonization of Professor William Ayers," asserting that his violent actions as the co-founder of the Weather Underground were just "history."

Barack Obama's ties to Ayers have been questioned during the presidential campaign by critics who call the professor a "domestic terrorist."

Among the people who signed the petition are No. 5, Columbia University professor of Arab studies Rashid Khalidi, and No. 814, former University of Colorado at Boulder professor Ward Churchill.

I wonder how many of these libs signed on multiple times.

So far I haven't read but a bit over 1000, but I saw Maxine Greene and Peter McLaren on there more than once...

On the other hand, #1232 is "Mark Levin, Talk Show Host"....

It seems to me that anyone could click on that link and put in whatever name they chose.

Hard to “demonize” a self confessed demon, a terrorist.

They would have you believe he was just another loopy kid from the 60’s protesting.

The Weather Underground is the most violent, dangerous, homegrown terrorist organization ever.

After the Greenwich Village bombings, and the Pentagon, Capito; and NYPD, Ayers and his cohorts like Kathy Boudin and Joanne Chesamard robbed ban trucks and killed cops.

The fact these people are still on the loose and in important academic positions is a National disgrace.

FWIW The daughter of Ayers and Dohrn is a special assistant to Hugo Chavez. Ayers and Dohrn spent part of their time on the lam hiding out in Communist Cuba, under the protection of Castro himself.

...the main problem with “big tent,” “compassionate” politics: propagandists (related to corporate heads) in universities continuing the socialist paradigm. Seek liberal votes at the expense of conservative votes, and reap what you sow.

Academia is so liberal...so about their tenure and protection of their army of indoctrinators...it really matters not what they are members of...they are open and perverted and as long as you are extreme, you can play in their game.

Deport all 3,200 of these communist trouble-makers.

I hope they were kind enough to put their current addresses on the Ayres-petition. That way it will be less trouble for the FBI to round them all up & ship them to Gitmo. I'm only slightly kidding.

Last Spring I was disappointed when my daughter declined a wonderful grad school offer from University of Chicago. I had held it in very high esteem, thinking it perhaps the best Univresity in the U.S., thanks to Milton Freidman.

Thank the Good Lord Dr. Friedman has gone to his rest and cannot see how his university has been so debased.

Does it matter? After all, Colin Powell wasn’t in the Pentagon Bldg when they wanted to bomb it.

WHERE IS THE OUTRAGE!?? Why are we zombies allowing our children to be processed through these liberal factories? ....all so they can culminate the 4+ year, hundred grand+ hole of no guarantees...all so those who sit in their robes and banners of color can write books and brag to each other how smart they are...a circle jerk (sorry) that perpetuates endlessly ...and if you don’t participate...doors are closed by those who should be shaking the hands of all who have the courage to flip off the “intellectual morons”
