McCain has gained ground in Virginia (13 Electoral votes), Missouri (11), New Hampshire (4), New Mexico (5) and Nevada (5)

UTICA, New York - Zogby Interactive polling of 10 Presidential battleground states has shown John McCain capturing a significant lead - for the time being - in the state of Indiana, causing the Hoosier State to move from purple to Republican red. The move increases the ticket of John McCain and Sarah Palin to 174 Electoral College votes in the Zogby calculation.

This is definitely going in the right direction. IN, OH, and FL look like they are falling into place, and we have two weeks to turn 2-3 more swing states to our side.

I hope McCain’s team has a good plan. There is plenty of ammo for it.

States are lagging national polls, with McCain bouncing up last week — it wasn’t surprising to see Gallup and other polls show him tanking this week. LOL.

Rasmussen is steady at 4 points, and Battleground only has him down by 1. If those numbers are true (spread between 1 - 4 points) the battleground states MUST be coming around.

It is still the Electoral Votes that count, although a 10 point lead is hard to calculate to an EC loss.

He’s not losing IN, VA, or NC.

Iowa seems, for whatever reason, locked up for Obama. WI, NH, and MN seem like nice targets for McCain-Palin.

174 Electoral College votes in the Zogby calculation

Well, at least Indiana is now considered safe.

How many Freepers were saying that no matter what the phony polls said.

Expect NC to be next, Ohio and Fl. soon after.

Everything I’ve seen from Virginia is terrible news? What’s going on in Virginia? They just elitists out there?

Iowa has fruitcake Tom Harkin running this time which helps Obama...I still think Iowa probably is closer than any poll. They give an automatic 10 point advantage based on Obama’s caucus results...guess what? It’s not a caucus where Obama’s people can intimidate people for votes....so Iowa could be one McCain could still on the last weekend with an appearance in Des Moines and Davenport.

I read through the polls, and McCain is up in Va among Seniors, that is critical to his success.

NM is seriously in play, 47%-46% with 8% undecided.

CO has more Republicans registered then Dems did not know that.

NC is looking like a serious problem, Obama has a small lead, about 3% but the undecideds are down to 3.5%.

All in all, a pretty positive polling number for McCain/Palin.

As to a 10 pt lead, that makes no sense, how can battleground states be tightening, or a slight advantage to McCain/Palin, and that much slippage in Zogby’s polling?

Hmm...

Does anyone see this or is it just me...

Today I found myself saying (no disrespect) I think that old fart is going to pull this off...

Look at the state polls OH and FL he is ahead, The stories here on oversampling Dems in NC and PA are eye-openers, if so, the lame streamer and the DNC are delusional.

But PA has my attention. He has been their 3 times this week, Murtha stuck his foot in it and the anecdotal evidence of the postings on FR in regards to PA has me thinking he has a very good shot at it.

Add to that "Joe" and all the other workers speaking out and Biden's gaff, it is far from over, and in the words of Bob Hoover flying the chase plane over Reno, "gentlemen we have a race".......

Drudge: Zogby to announce Obama up 10.

D.A.M.N.

Obama must be having some spectacular days to picking up this kind of steam.

I’m sure Obama is wishing he had more terrorist friends. Then he’d be 20 points up.

WTF is with the people in this country?

We actually WANT the polls to be showing a HUGE lead for Obama....The HUGE turnout Obama needs with blacks and inner city whites who usually don’t vote are more likely to stay home if they feel they are just joining a huge landslide. If they think he’s automatically the winner they are more likely to stay home instead of stand in long lines.

I think Missouri, Florida and N.C. are all polling blacks too heavily than actual turnout. ACORN registration drives are driving up Obama’s polling numbers too as is the primary voters ...many of which are republicans involved in Operation Chaos...

I think this is excellent news for us actually.
