Rendell 'still a little nervous' about Penn., asks Obama to return

Rendell wants Obama to come back to Pennsylvania.

(CNN) — Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell has sent two separate memos to the Obama campaign in the past five days requesting that the Democratic Presidential candidate—as well as Hillary and Bill Clinton—return to campaign in Pennsylvania, Rendell told CNN's Gloria Borger.

Rendell said the McCain campaign is clearly making a push to win Pennsylvania, given the recent visits by the Arizona senator, his wife and his running mate. As a result, he wants Obama to appear in western Pennsylvania, Harrisburg and one more “large rally” in Philadelphia. Democrats generally worry that the race is significantly closer than what recent polls have suggested. According to Rendell, there is also worry among Democrats the McCain campaign has successfully raised the enthusiasm level among Republicans in the state.

Yes - Dobson and many evangelicals were lukewarm to McCain. Palin was a God send for conservative Christians and the NRA. McCain got the NRA because of Palin. They have been a big supporter of Sarah for at least a decade.

Dobson and others may help turn the tide in CO.

I am curious what Eddie and the Clintons can do to make sure Obambi is screwed. Hillary and her supporters got the ACORN treatment. The day after the election is over they will take the party back.

Hopefully Obama will be in debt to the tune of $100 million as the Saudis/Hamasa/Palestinians/Iranians go for chargebacks on their credit cards.

Once that happens Bill & Hill pull out the long knives. Hopefully Philip Berg will be standing there with ICE (formerly INS) with a immediate deportation order for Obama.

The Dem Party is not kind to losers.

WOW, I remember Dadeland and that whole Coral Gables/ S Miami area very well, F. Burdines, too. I was long-gone in the late 80s, as I was opening my new business, in the northeast. I would have sided with the Cubans, against that traitorous filth, and helped them waste her, for what she did to our Country. Grrrrrr.

I’d feel more comfortable if we could flip VA and CO. Neither of those states should be Dem.

Hillary was ahead, and she pasted him by 9. However if you think those Hillary voters fell in behind Fauxbama here, you don’t know PA. He’s not taking PA folks.

We have tons of new registers every election cycle.. You don’t find reliable voters showing up out of the blue. Most new registrations are always kids coming of age, and relos. You don’t find reliable voters sitting around who don’t fit that mold just sitting around PA.

PA ain’t going Fauxbama folks, his support on the ground isn’t there. Hillary absolutely Pasted him and those Hillary backers aren’t falling in line behind the faux-sen one.

I know what you’ve been told about PA, but it ain’t true. This state has been tracking more and more R every election for a while and frankly had Bush not used it as a Feignt in 04, to distract Kerry to get Ohio and fought for it till the end, he’d probably have taken in in 04.

2.5% is 140k votes folks, that’s all Kerry won by with all the fraud, and base behind him and state machine fully mobilized. Fauxbama has none of those, he won’t take PA.

I’m seeing the weakest support for a D in a presidential race since Dukakis, that’s what I’m seeing.

If you get outside the UMC liberal and black neighborhoods, you see non existent support for the guy. The white blue collar union folks aren’t backing him. Good numbers of Hillary voters aren’t falling in behind him, he never closed the deal here, and won’t.

His dog and pony show doesn’t sell in the Rust belt.. he’s going to lose pa, and probably at least 1 more rust belt state.

One question I have, why would Rendell make this public?

One question I have, why would Rendell make this public?

(PaMom raises hand and waves frantically)...

I know the answer to this one! Rendell asked publicly, the same way Murtha publicly called us racist and rednecks. So after the loss (and their number must really be tanking) Murtha's job will be to say 'see, they really are racist, and redneck.' And Rendell's sob story will be 'we tried. We asked for help. 0bama/Biden gave up on Pennsylvania. Hillary and Bill came back to campaign but there was only so much they could do. Barrack, you failed the party.'

And, IMO, the 527s and the NRA need to ramp up the 0bama gun control angle. Big time. Hunting season is just around the corner...and ya know we cling to our guns here!

I think there is something bad wrong with these polls and that Obama is in bad trouble but his campaign advisors and staff members refuse to recognize it.

I think they recognize it. Their remedy for it is to use the phony polls to try to create a sense of inevitability.

This is the most in the bag I have ever seen the media for one candidate. By far.
