Rendell wants Obama to come back to Pennsylvania.
(CNN) Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell has sent two separate memos to the Obama campaign in the past five days requesting that the Democratic Presidential candidateas well as Hillary and Bill Clintonreturn to campaign in Pennsylvania, Rendell told CNN's Gloria Borger.
Rendell said the McCain campaign is clearly making a push to win Pennsylvania, given the recent visits by the Arizona senator, his wife and his running mate. As a result, he wants Obama to appear in western Pennsylvania, Harrisburg and one more large rally in Philadelphia. Democrats generally worry that the race is significantly closer than what recent polls have suggested. According to Rendell, there is also worry among Democrats the McCain campaign has successfully raised the enthusiasm level among Republicans in the state.

If Rendell’s worried, then Obama ought to be worried as well.
Good!
Must be all them rrracists and rrrrednecks that Murtha told ‘s about.
Maybe that rumor about Obama internals show him only being up 2 in PA are accurate.
I live in Steeler country and I havent seen to many Mccain Palin signs around. I dont know what Rendell would be worried about?
Looks like Rendell is asking Obama to “wet his beak” a little before Ed will get the party machine to seal the state for Barry.
Or the rumor about McCain leading could be true.
Moreover, judging by the sheer numbers of McCain/Palin yard signs that have sprouted throughout the commonwealth, I'd say that this poll is definitely BS, probably due to oversampling in and around Philly.
pingeroo. :)
Look, the people in Western PA do not even have to vote for all I care. Stay home! That is a vote for McCain anyway.
Besides, if you live in a union area, why would you display a McCain sign in your yard?
Oh, how I hope (and I do believe) Rendell is right.
PA would be a great offset to the possibility of Obama/Biden taking VA, NM and IA.
How McCain/Palin overcome Philadelphia/ACORN is another question.
If I recall, it was because they had it weighted for 6% more Dem turnout by party id than 2006.
Ed...Relax....The National polls show Obama winning by 9-14 points. Nothing to worry about....right?
McCain’s & Obama’s internals are right on.
McCain can’t give up on NM & Colo
This makes sense in light of Murtha’s recent ramblings.
Murtha may be a clown, but he certainly knows how things really are “on the ground” in his area of the state.
Scratch that...that was VA I’m thinking of...
All the BS polls are bleeding into each other! lol
Obamas up 12 in Pa and Fast Eddie wants Barack and the Clintons back. Yeah, right.
Wow..if “Fast Eddie” Rendell is “concerned” it’s gotta mean he doesn’t have enough fraudulent registrations at hand to counter the massive number of Conservatives and Reagan Democrats planning to vote.
Now if we can only manage to get Murtha turned out to pasture.
