Exactly. What is it? Why is the Democrat VP candidate and other Democrat supporters telling the public that Obama is going to be in trouble in his first year in office, here, now before the election?

Good grief, Powell, Biden, and Albright each think Obama will put our nation at risk, but hey, voting for him is a great idea.  Yep, please join them to bring calamity
upon our nation won't you please?  Please!!!!  Being a Democrat isn't a political thing.  It isn't a righteous thing.  It's more of a mental illness thing.  I don't think I've
seen it depicted this clearly before.   These people couldn't think their way out of a paper bag with three open sides.

Biden is a loose cannon. He thinks he is the smartest guy in the room as well as the best informed. He also makes things up, especially if they reflect well on him.

I may be a contrarian on this one, but I believe that Biden was talking to the Dems when he spoke about disappointing them and the need for their support. Obama will take forceful action to prove he has a "spine of steel," but his bellicose action will not sit well with the folks who put him into office. That is my take on it.

I guess. But it definitely read like Obama would invite an international crisis, in Biden's opinion, because the world doesn't respect him.

Maybe they're trying to make it out like Obama is not a pansy to those who worry about our national security and will go against his pacifist base. But they've totally bungled this.

Whatever it is,Powell will be fine with selling a military action, if the democrats propose one.

However,in the same instance, republicans can expect him to bite them on the hand and get back stabbed by the ingrate.

I have no doubt that our enemies see Obama as weak and that they will test him early on. I think Biden is saying that Obama will respond forcefully, which may hurt him politically with his base. No doubt Biden opened up a can of worms because people are not as interested in the response as they are about the cause, i.e., the perception of weakness that will precipitate the crisis.

McCain should put out an ad that uses THEIR words about Obama being tested and then McCain saying “Do we want to HOPE he’ll pass this test? I’d like to see his SAT test scores first”

But why say a thing about it at all? I'm thinking the angle here was that it would make Obama appear as though he wasn't some doctrinaire left-wing surrender peacenik to independents who care about national security. Coupled with Powell's endorsement, I guess it was supposed to make it appear that Obama was more middle of the road. But the delivery was exceptionally bad and left the Dems wide open for a GOP hit.

This is like the worst campaign move ever. Even Perot dropping out and dropping back in and selecting Stockdale. This looks like the worst political stunt ever.
