I am seriously looking into my options for emigration if Obama wins. I have faith that McCain will, but it never hurts to have a back-up.

We are considering Ireland or Australia. Mr. Cat has also suggested moving to Alaska and trying to secede from the Union, too. Any Freeper ideas?

Australia is very liberal and their press hates us. We’re thinking New Zealand. We also considered Alaska. How about a bunch of us Freepers move to a small community somewhere and at least make our piece of the land a livable one?

I would suggest that multiple states secede the union. I've started reading more about the first War Between the States/Civil War, and even though we're in a dangerous nuclear age and there's always issues of diplomatic recognition, maybe it's time for Civil War II?

You're most welcome in Alaska - but the Dems and the unions in Alaska are making a fight to win this election round, state-wide and nationally. That's why Stevens and Young - Palin, too - have been targeted. The charges have either been manufactured or pale to insignificance against the ethical lapses for which Democrats go unpunished.

Check out the ‘Free State Project’. Walter Williams had mentioned it several times while hosting Rush and also had it in one or two of his articles. Yea, I know it’s New Hampshire, but it appears there is a base of liked-minded folks already there. I suspect if the big zero does win other states might have enough liberty loving people to start there own ‘projects’. I really don’t think the majority of Americans are ready to ‘sell out’ to socialism yet. Soon, but not yet. Especially not to a wanna be god.
