Barack Obama has expressed his support for same-sex couples' right to adopt children.

In a letter to the Family Equality Council, Obama writes: " ... we have to eliminate discrimination against LGBT families ... [and] we have to extend equal treatment in our family and adoption laws."

While McCain and his wife, Cindy, have an adopted child, he said to the New York Times, "I think that we've proven that both parents are important in the success of a family, so no, I don't believe in gay adoption."

According to the Family Equality Council, same-sex parents are raising 4% of all adopted children in the United States as well as 3% of all children in foster care.

Whatever. I think that if a child has a choice to be raised in a stable home, and not be shipped through the foster care experience, then that should be done.

Many gay families have extended relatives that could mentor a child through puberty etc. Many single mothers do raise little boys with help from their families. That is not the ideal situation either, but they do it.

I do have personal experience with the foster care program also, and you were speaking with kids that were not placed, so you don't have the universal experience. How many kids do you know that were adopted by homosexuals to see if it was "that bad"? You were speaking with kids that "didn't want homosexual parents" but how do you know if they had been, even against their will, they would not have had happy lives?

While I was growing up in foster homes a friend of mine got adopted by a man and woman, years later they divorced because the woman decided to give sex with another woman a try

the friend of mine had to say with that woman and sometimes the other woman came round and told me how he saw them kissing etc

years later I found out he killed himself, Apparently he had told another friend he was so miserable, he would dress up as a girl but thought of himself as a lesbian as he wanted sex with a woman

So I never want that again to happen to anyone so dont give me it is their business, and libertarian views.

Since children adopted by homosexuals practice perversion at a higher rate than the general Sodomite population, 20% compared to 3%, that alone amounts to child abuse. Obviously the influence of those who practice perversion promotes the learned behavior.

Additionally, those who practice perversion offend children at ten times the rate of the general population, 32% of all child sexual abuse is homosexual as compared to the 3% of their population, that too puts children at higher risk.

Certainly, and that fact is illustrative of the transformation of the homosexual political movement. It wasn't long ago when homosexuals asked for their privacy to be respected, to be allowed to conduct their lives in private (among consenting adults) as they wished. Most Americans could and did support that, even moderately devout Catholics like myself.

But that has changed. Far from wanting to be left alone, the homosexual political movement now pushes to be accepted as normal, through their perversion of marriage and the spectacle of homosexuals "raising" children. As long as I have a voice, and a vote, I will NEVER deny my conscience and "accept" homosexuality as "normal," as the equivalent of heterosexual relationships.
