The leader of the national anti-Obama movement, legendary Chicago Internet columnist and Obama author Andy Martin, will hold a Honolulu news conference today, October 20, 2008 to announce he has asked the Hawai’i Supreme Court to entertain an emergency writ expediting the release of Senator Barack Obama’s secret birth records.
A copy of the Petition will be posted on Martin’s blogs later today after it is docketed by the Supreme Court. The Hawai’i Supreme Court petition supplements and expands on a lawsuit filed Friday, October 18th in the Circuit Court of Hawai’i.
Martin is due back in New York on Friday, October 24th for network television interviews.
He is expected to come out with Part I of an expose on Obama today as well (Part I supposedly having to do with Obama & Islam). Looks like he is quite busy down there in Hawai’i right now. I’d be patient, personally.
Seeing as Obama is going to be “off the campaign” trail to visit his sick Grandmother for the next two days - it makes me seriously wonder...
Is he REALLY visiting his grandmother - or is he going to Hawai’i to attempt to do a little damage control.

Robert Gibbs told reporters Monday that Obama's grandmother, Madelyn Payne Dunham, who helped raise him, was released from the hospital late last week. But he said her health had deteriorated "to the point where her situation is very serious."

I don't care if he is an attention whore, I can't believe Obama would leave the campaign to visit his grandmother at the same time this guy is likely to get access to his HI birth certificate, if it exists.

WHO is responsible for ensuring that the Constitutional qualifications for office are met? Who makes sure that the candidates are of age, natural born citizens, etc??

No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty-five years, and been fourteen years a resident within the United States.

No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once.
