We had our tickets and arrived at 10:30 when the gates opened, Sarah was to speak at 1:00 Pm. The line was already 250 people long and snaked around 15 250 loops and then you still had 2 blocks of people before entering the Busweiser Event Center.
They opened the overflow building and we finally got to within a block of it when the rally ended.
All I can say is I had a ticket, and almost saw Sarah Palin.
If anyone did get in that is a Freeper could you share with the 2500 that stood in the cold and didn't even get close?
People could have been angry and grumbling about the cold and the lack of coordination and too many tickets given out for that venue and too few people handling security. There was not one remark that I overheard.
We were disappointed yes, but just having the priveledge of almost attending a Palin rally is good enough for me. The mounted police were just amazed as the sea of people descended on our little town of 40,000 to catch a glimpse of our heroine.
If everyone turns out to vote that’s turned out to see them, whether or not they got in, there is no doubt in my military mind that we’re going to win.
Heck, there’s no doubt, anyway, but stories like this, while UNREPORTED by the MSM who REFUSE to DO THEIR JOB, will make our victory all the sweeter. :)
I almost, almost attended a Palin rally in Southern California. I couldn’t get a ticket but would have loved to have been there. A Republican Headquarters volunteer from Pasadena wrote me back, here on FR, to say that she couldn’t get a ticket either and she worked in one of the headquaretrs. Maybe when Palin is VP we can get in to her appearances!
I was reading in the St. Pete Times about Obama’s rally today in Tampa. No number was mentioned, which meant the turnout wasn’t that great, otherwise they’d be shouting it from the rooftops.
Same thing happened to us, years ago when W was campaigning in Indianapolis....As many people were outside waiting to get in as were inside....Campaign should have forseen the attendance and secured a lager facility in both cases.
IOW : “I Feel your pain.’
Any attendance #s ?
I asked a young female Obama supporter if she were aware of the numbers coming out to see Palin and she had no clue! She said, “but do they like what she’s saying?”
I said, “Yes, they do!”
I have only see the St. Louis turnout for Obama that “appeared” to be large. Everywhere else there does not seem to be the same enthusiasm as shown on the Republican side.
I went to the Palin rally this Saturday in Lancaster, PA I live in Baltimore, MD, drove the 1 hour 10 mins, figured it would start around 11, well it endend at around 11. As I was walking up to the stadium (without a ticket) the people started coming out...smiling...
Even though I missed it (I was late), it was worth the ride just to be there.
We Love Sarah!!!
I agree. You notice how fast the MSM dumped there criticism of Palin for not meeting the press since Biden is nowhere to be seen. Yep, I believe the Obamanites are running scared. Probably spending their time organizing looser riots.
Extra points for being there more than in spirit alone! I like the enthusiasm!
Thanks, it was fun, I got to see the liberal moonbat ride by on the scooter yelling OBAMA OBAMA, while everyone leaving was laughing and having a good time walking back to there cars.

You make me so proud to be on the good side by writing something like that!! It is great to be a fellow American of people who do what has to be done with grace!
Amen, my FRiend, AMEN!!!!!!!
I was there. Got in line about 8:30 and there were about 200 people already in front of the line.
Where was this? Maybe the local newspaper or TV will have a report.

That’s only because it was held under the arch in the middle of an absolutely beatiful weekend day - lots of people go there to enjoy the weather and “the one” happened to be there, so may be some double counting.
I wish you would add where this event was held, in case there is more than one Budweiser Center in the US.
I’m happy that my state will easily go Repub., but the closest state in play is Florida, so I won’t have a chance to see Palin unless she has a rally in Pensacola.
