IIRC, firarm homicides were about 14,000 last year. So total firearm homicides were about 50,000 since the end of the ban. You would need at least 500 dead from so called "assault weapons" to make one percent. This figure of 163 killed is about one third of one percent. Is this supposed to be significant?

How many of these people were killed in gun free zones? I’m guessing more than half.
It would be useful to know what the prior four year period tally was. Also, since there was no mention made about who committed these killings, it must be assumed that they were not done by law abiding citizens but criminals who would have committed the crimes anyway and probably with the same assult weapons. More drival from the Brady Center and promoted by the MSM.

How many of the same criminals would have done the same killings with either same or different weapon even if the “AW ban” were in place? How many deadly criminals really have much trouble getting ahold of firearms if they want to do so?

You have to remember that an “assault weapon” includes ANY handgun that can accept a magazine that will hold more than 10 rounds of ammo. But Brady wants you to think that people are out there running around with “disposable AK-47’s” gunning people down right and left.
Encouraged by the potential that Obama will be the next President, the Brady gang is already starting to flex their muscles. The mere fact that terrorists and other criminals will NEVER turn in their guns, means that WE need to be able to defend ourselves against them! This is one of the things that I hate the most about liberals. They want to control us! They can kiss my red, white and blue American, whatever. lol.. They are NOT getting my guns. Assault or otherwise. They will be reported as stolen before the ink dries on that ban.
Of those 163 deaths, how many were at the hands of registered Democrats? I’m guessing near 100%. Thus, Democrats Kill.
Gosh, I didn’t realize that ‘repealing the assault weapons ban’ made it legal to go out and shot cops and other citizens???? So, apparently the law wasn’t doing much good when it came to getting criminals to follow it. Maybe if The Messiah tells the gangs not to kill people they will listen to him - after all, aren’t gangs just ‘community organizers’???
