I wish the question would change, instead of arguing who gets the cut, fight Obama’s honesty in wanting the cut in the first place. IMHO, it is a BS focus group number. If Obama really wanted a tax cut for 95% of Americans, he can write a bill tomorrow or he could have written a bill in his two years as Senator. He never did. Instead, he voted for tax increases for everyone making over $46K/year.
Actions over rhetoric.
Put up or shut up Obama- if you believe it, write a bill.
If you don’t, then you show yourself to be nothing but a used car salesman.

McCain is claiming that tax cuts are welfare now? Really?
300 million people in this country and we couldn't find a conservative to run for President?

Assuming that Obama will extend the already existing Bush tax cuts for those making less than $250,000...and that is a gigantically naive assumption

It has been widely misstated that the wealth would be spread around. It is INCOME that will be spread around; the truly wealthy will have their assets well protected.

but if 0bama wants to cut payroll taxes for a certain group, how will said certain group get their payroll tax “benefits” ... ie social security?
seems someone else will be paying those premiums.

There is something quite chilling when one realizes that Barack ACORN Obama disregards the Constitution where just born alive infants are in a life and death situation, and this ‘man’ will be deciding whom is worthy of living via the dependence upon government dole. And he will have a way to make 95% of Americans dependent upon the government.

I don’t know that I’d agree with ‘welfare’ but I sure see the “redistributing wealth” in his idea.
OB’s idea of tax credit it truly a shining example of what Joe was trying to get across when he asked OB the question. It is getting lost in all the ‘smoke-n-mirrors’ the liberal are throwing out.

Awesome debunking of an Obama cover-up! These things need to be told to those “nasty little fact haters” so they can vote right.

I'm not giving tax cuts to folks who don't work, I'm giving tax cuts to people who do work. Of course, these so-called tax cuts eventually will be phased out after one reaches a certain income level. They'll not only pay tax on each marginal dollar earned, they will have their "tax cut" reduced, thereby creating a disincentive to work harder.

The tens of millions of families working hard and paying payroll taxes do not think that tax cuts are a form of welfare or redistribution they think it is only fair to reward work. What the Lord High 0bama means is he is going to reward a little work and punish a lot of work.
That is why communist societies can't produce anything of value, and eventually collapse under their own weight. No one is willing to work hard enough to make anything of lasting value. The communists must then resort to stealing what they need from a capitalist.

Nifty plan, eh? Yes it is. I could just invent enough income to show a couple bucks worth of fed taxes and rake in $900+ bucks. The IRS will never question the reporting of imaginary income.

George Bush I used the line voodoo economics to describe Reagan's economic agenda. We know what happened. The real voodoo economics will be what Obama has planned. As a Marxist he is seriously out of his depth in the econ field and will have to rely on more sensible heads to tell him what to do. People like Warren Buffet.
Obama to Buffet "you mean I can't just confiscate everybody's income and distribute it as I see fit?" Buffet "uh, no, that would be a very bad idea." Obama: "gosh darn it, why can't I just appropriate it all?" Buffet: "because it's unconstitutional." Obama: "who cares about the constitution?"
