Grandson’s got a brand-new deer rifle to sight in, and Little Miss has been busting my chops for a year to graduate her to the .22 Mag varmit buster. I really think that she just loves the idea of a scoped gun so she can do her Anny Oakley act at a bit more than 50 yards.
All the kids have been shooting since they were 8, and about the only things they haven’t wanted to try out are the handguns and the .300 Winmag. (Lightest handgun in the locker is Grandma’s .357 “Dirty Harry”, and I guess they do kinda sound like a 5 inch gun going off when you compare it to a .22 or a 20ga.)
I certainly hope he is right. The direction of our country hinges upon a few “undecided” voters.

Has anyone noticed how the socialist backed anti-war/CFR truther contingent has been silent? Even with zbigniew brzezinski backing him, Clark and now Powell (well, he didn’t really mean to ‘lie’ at the hearing, he was lied to or he thought he could change their minds... yep, that’s why he stayed and didn’t resign before the hearing). Yet, after his endorsement he stated the Iraq war wasn’t a mistake. What’s wrong with this picture?

Pollsters say Democrat Barack Obama is still the national electorate’s White House favorite, but his GOP rival John McCain has the edge in at least one crucial battleground state.
McCain leads Obama in Ohio by one point with 46 percent of the vote to Obama’s 45, according to an NBC/Mason-Dixon poll released yesterday.
However, national polls show Obama continues to hold the lead over his opponent.
Rasmussen Reports has Obama leading by six points, 51 to 45 percent, while a national Gallup poll also has Obama leading by 3 points with 49 percent.
Meanwhile, a national Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby poll has Obama leading by 3 points with 48 percent of the vote to McCain’s 45.
Pollster John Zogby said the numbers were good news for McCain, possibly reflecting a bump following his appearance in the third and final presidential debate Wednesday.
