I've been puzzled for some time over the apparent brainwashing of otherwise rational people when it comes to Obama. Almost without exception, they are repeating the same lines, almost trance-like. Didn't really hit me until reading this article. I have read some on NLP, but didn't really make the connection until reading this article. Interested in comments from anyone who might be a little more well-versed in this field.

If there’s any truth to this at all... wow.
Not like you can run with it, or accuse him of anything though since everyone’s so brain washed. /s

Notice that the practice is actionable in a court of law.
“Hypnosis-type mental pressure has been held by the Supreme Court of the United States to be so unduly
influential as to deprive someone of their fundamental rights. The US Supreme court case was Leyra v.
Denno, 347 U.S. 556 (1954), Leyra v. Denno, No. 635, Argued April 28, 1954, Decided June 1, 1954, 347
U.S. 556.”

Sounds like techniques great orators have used since time immemorial. Obama is a great orator. He's also a socialist.
I don't think he is anything else.

More crap from the same people who gave us open-marriage and repressed memory syndrome.
Really. You’d think people would learn eventually.

NLP would not work well on a crowd, it is more a specific one to one interaction.
I do not think this is hypnosis...it is more in line with the seemingly ‘hypnotic” effect very excellant speakers have. In Obozo’s case, it is the combination of a very gifted speaker to mass crowds and the demagoguary (sp?) ...ie, Hitler, Farakhan, Rev wright.
The same effect, in a positive way can be done also by positive inspiring speakers, ie, Joel Olsteen, Billy Graham, etc.
I think the important thing is to focus on how Obozo uses his gift to lie and manipulate , but not for the good. I sure wouldn’t go down this “hypnosis” conspiracy route.

Interesting reading - I have been wondering if NLP was part of his speeches and it seems so.
Marxist thought control plus NLP. Scary stuff.

I've always thought Obama was a weak speaker and debater. Too bad we didn't have someone strong like Duncan Hunter taking this guy on during the debates.
Obama could easily be made to look weak and illiterate by a seasoned debater.
