An Examination of Obama’s Use of Hidden Hypnosis Techniques in His Speeches
Internet-Grocer ^ | October 19,2008 | Internet-Grocer

Barack Obama’s speeches contain the hypnosis techniques of Dr. Milton Erickson, M.D. who developed a form of “conversational” hypnosis that could be hidden in seemingly normal speech and used on patients without their knowledge for therapy purposes. Obama’s speeches intentionally contain:

- Trance Inductions - Hypnotic Anchoring - Pacing and Leading - Pacing, Distraction and Utilization - Critical Factor Bypass - Stacking Language Patterns - Preprogrammed Response Adaptation - Linking Statements/ Causality Bridges - Secondary Hidden Meanings/Imbedded Suggestions - Emotion Transfer - Non-Dominant Hemisphere Programming

Obama’s techniques are the height of deception and psychological manipulation, remaining hidden because one must understand the science behind the language patterns in order to spot them. This document examines Obama’s speeches word by word, hand gesture by hand gesture, tone, pauses, body language, and proves his use of covert hypnosis intended only for licensed therapists on consenting patients. Obama’s mesmerized, cult-like, grade-school-crush-like worship by millions is not because “Obama is the greatest leader of a generation” who simply hasn’t accomplished anything, who magically “inspires” by giving speeches.

"techniques great orators have used since time immemorial"

There is something of a tent preacher in Obama's presentation.

I'd bet that if you gave Obama and Wright the same end point they'd both get the audience there by taking nearly opposite routes.
Both are adept at bringing an audience - different types of audience - around to accepting things they'd otherwise at least try to cover up.
Both seem very capable of saying one thing, with full audience acceptance, only to have the audience later deny they'd ever heard it.
Both use appropriate props that are familiar to the audience from the moment they walk in the door.

If you could test for 'happy', 'comfortable', 'supportive', and 'clueless' all at one time, you'd get the same high levels from attendees at either "church".

Personal note: I've been struck by the otherwise rational people who tell me they think they'll vote for Obama because, well, I don't know, I like what he says, he's........

!!!!Holy Moly!!! I didn’t notice that!

I had once joked that it looked a birdeye view of a toilet bowl with the American flag being flushed down it.

But you’re right - it’s a sunrise!

“Dawn of a New Day”; “Time for Change”; “I’m Going to Change the World!” etc. That’s why he never needed to be so specific at the beginning of his campaign with what sort of change he was proposing. It didn’t matter. It was psychological programming.

That’s also the reason he could trample on the traditional “E Pluribus Unum” seal with impunity and substitute a “self-evident-truth NLP implant” such as “Si Se Puede”. After all, there’s no arguing with “Yes we can!” It’s self-evidently true.

Hussein Obama is definitely a Trojan horse.

No sleep for me tonight.

Another NLP website (http://www.hypnosnlp.com) selling NLP training has a series of Yahoo news article links on its page. One of the links leads to Archbishop Chaput quoted as saying:

“”To suggest — as some Catholics do — that Senator Obama is this year’s ‘real’ pro-life candidate requires a peculiar kind of self-hypnosis, or moral confusion, or worse,” Chaput said according to his prepared remarks, titled “Little Murders.”

I hear the same thing. “I don’t know why I’m voting for him; I find him inspiring...I don’t know, he’s...”

It’s one thing when a college freshman says something like that — we can mark it up to ignorance. But when older people say things like that, there has to be some sort of explanation. Here on FR we’ve been using expressions like “Oh, he must have drunk the Obama Kool Aid.” Perhaps skillful and subtle linguistic manipulation — something beyond just well-wrought speechwriting — might tell us something about the actual ingredients.

This also helps to explain little aesthetic details about the campaign symbology. Why, for example, was Biden’s name so faded back on the campaign logo and posters after he was named? The rules of the game state that a running mate must be chosen; tradition requires that his name appear with the person at the top of the ticket. But from a programming point of view, it’s a distraction from the repetition of “Obama! Obama!” If Biden’s name must appear at all, let it be light blue over pale blue so that you can barely read it.

No graphic artist in his or her right mind would have purposely made that choice unless there were some other, non-aesthetic, reason for doing so.

Yes, I read somewhere a post by an NLP expert who evaluated Hillary in the low 30s percentile (how much of her speech was NLP) versus Obama who was in the high 50’s (approx 58 percent of one of his speeches was NLP) Both ratings were said to indicate intention but Obama was rated as having MASTERED the ‘art’ of NLP.

Thank you for posting this.

I found this part of the paper illuminating and have edited it somewhat: (From one of Obama’s speeches)

“It has now been a little over two months (pause) since we began (pause) this campaign for the Presidency. (pause) In that time we have traveled all across this country. (pause) And before every event we do (pause), I usually have a minute to sit quietly and (pause) collect my thoughts. (pause) And recently, I’ve found myself (pause) reflecting on (pause) what it was that led me (different tone, and thumb and forefinger anchor for “me”) to public service in the first place.”

-snip-

Obama has hidden undetectably in normal-sounding speech what a hypnotist would do to start an induction by saying “sit quietly, begin to internalize your thoughts, collect your thoughts, reflect, and focus on me and the sound of my voice.” He is talking to your subconscious mind, preparing it for deeper induction and programming, while you think he is just telling you stories. Then, for the rest of the speech, your subconscious mind will be receptive to messages on this level that you won’t even be aware of.

Wow! Found a very encouraging website.
http://www.hypemovie.com/?gclid=CPCy1Z2dtZYCFQJNagodSTzyLg

A movie titled “HYPE: The Obama Effect” is advertised there. I watched a 3 minute trailer and a 30 second advertisemetn. High quality production value featuring recognizable public figures marveling at the emotional response to Obama. No mention of NLP - so far just focusing on his messianic response from otherwise normal people.
Apparently the film came out last month -there are several reviews on the ‘press’ tab of the website. This link is the American Spectator’s review:http://spectator.org/archives/2008/09/18/who-is-barack-obama
All lefty reviews evicerate the movie - a good sign.

I am still looking over the website. I’ll post the known (so far) locations the movie will be broadcast

Articulate post.

I am beginning to think of “Waiting for Godot” or calling this election “NO Exit”...yeesh or maybe Alice in Wonderland would be appropriate.( wonder if that Alice story had political references at the time).

He didn’t hynotize Joe the Plumber......

Watch the video of Joe asking the question. After he asks it, Obama puts his hand on Joe's shoulder when he talks to him. It's part of his technique.

The reason Obama has millions of people fooled is not some special, esoteric skill of his own.

Rather, the millions of Obamabots have been TRAINED to be uncritical, herd-followers by a massively funded government program. Hundreds of billions in tax dollars are poured into this government mind-control operation each year. Almost all Americans have spent years on end being conditioned by this government operation, having their ability to read and think impaired, through finely-honed techniques.

These laboratories are widely known as “government schools.”

I can think of no other reason for Obama to purchase that much airtime other than to 'seal the deal'.

I had a long talk last week with an old and dear friend. A successful business owner with a wonderful family. Things were as they always were in talking about life's ups and downs, until politics arose. It was like a switch had been thrown. This is someone who has been for the most part apolitical all his life, yet he was slamming me in a quite forceful manner. This is a friend I have known for 25 years, and I have never seen him behave this way.

Then he started off on religions. Mind you this is a former church deacon. "All the religions are manmade constructs and false" in one breath, then saying we should understand Islam better in the next. And he was getting heated about it (and I was not stoking the flames). To put it in the modern vernacular, he was 'getting in my face'

Almost as if he was following the exhortation from Obama for his supporters to 'get in people's faces'

And then the discussion went on to something else and the animosity evaporated. Almost as if a switch was turned off.

A couple of folks have commented that the whole NLP theory is tin foil or reaching. To them I would simply say read the article. Yes it is long, but if you only go through the first 20 pages, understand some of the basic concepts and see some of the documented incidents of Obama using precisely those concepts, you may view this phenomenon as something which can be understood and explained.

Worth the read.

How do you undo the programming? Somebody with NLP expertise has to deprogram the victims?

I’m not an expert, but I would think if you clued people in to things to look for (that would show manipulation and deception) that they would be a little ticked off at being used, and no longer buy his ‘suggestions’

Read the article, understand the techniques, then forward it to others if you agree with the premises.

This also goes for all the DU lurkers and ‘researchers’ from the Obama camp. Read the article. Look at the examples and decide for yourself if you have been exposed to these techniques by Barack Obama. If you have taken any psych classes in the past, you know that there are certain things that can be done with the mind. Erickson is no newcomer (he died in 1980) and his methods are well-known in the psychological community. Were they used on you?
