"...it could explain the reasoning behind Obama wanting 30 minutes of air time on the Networks... one more chance to put the whammy on everyone"

And it's exactly the format he would need to pull it off. Debates don't work since he can't keep your attention long enough without an interruption. But on stage in a crowd or a 30 minute in-your-face infomercial is ideal for it to work.

Ericksonian Hypnosis requires spoken and visual contact and some time to get a particular message across.

So when is the overuse of the terms “um”, “ah”, and “you know” considered hyponotic? Obama is incapable of stringing two cogent sentences together. When he speaks extemporaneously, his average words per sentence is at least fifty (he is the master of the run-on sentence). He does not seem to be a very bright person. But he is the perfect puppet.

Thanks for putting this up again.

We might want to teach our children about this stuff, so that they are able to spot it being used by pickup artists, salesmen, lawyers or politicians in the future.

It just might be that this was what Obama was learning during his years that we know so little about.

Like many of you, I went into this thinking oh boy, “tin foil hat time”, but the deeper I went, the more it seems to explain. It’s long, and the first 16 pages are kind of promo without proof, but I encourage each of you to study the whole thing and then decide for yourselves whether or not you are completely unconvinced. If nothing else, when you are done, you will have a good idea about how Eriksonian hypnosis works.

I have read the entire document and I have followed a great many of the footnotes and references included in the PDF as well. Google was also my friend.

Although the author is way more than a little passionate about what he thinks about Obama and his alleged use of these techniques, he goes on to back it up with known science and thorough in context analysis accompanied by copious footnotes and references to published works on the subjects.

The techniques he claims Obama is using are identified, explained and demonstrated in detailed context. They are accepted by the experts in the field as especially powerful and effective among the young, but also among many who do a lot of reading. (think students, journalists, academicians...)

He also shows why this is much more effective in long speeches than it is in debates, short conversations or town hall situations. 30 minute CBS final TV campaign time slot, anyone? Spotting these techniques in use during his show might even make a good drinking game... ;-)

The author seems to make a disturbingly solid case that Obama is not just a charismatic orator, not even just a dabbler in these methods, but an accomplished practitioner of the art of covert / conversational / Eriksonian hypnosis.

As the media guru Marshall McLuhan is reported to have said, “Only the small secrets need to be protected. The big ones are kept secret by public incredulity.”

“Agreed....though I have heard that the Obama campaign has an NLP expert onboard.”

Any idea who it might be?

I'm sure a big chunk of some person's desire to follow NObama off the hill into the abyss stem from the intense, almost demonic, dislike of Pres. Bush. They WANT someone to tell them what to do and where to go; they WANT someone who will be....not Pres. Bush. Even if it's Satan in a suit, they want something different.

I thought of Nicolae Carpathia in the first Left Behind book, convincing a room full of people that he did not just put a gun inside a guy's mouth and pull the trigger. Only one not falling for it had become a Christian ten minutes earlier....

Of course, that's just fiction, isn't it?

You know, that’s a very good observation. If there’s any truth to this, what better way for Obamunist to try to nail the election than to have one final “session” with his unwitting patients...the American public.

Obama is too stupid to be a master of this thing by himself. Off the cuff, he’s embarrasingly inarticulate. Look to his immediate handlers for expertise in this: Axelrod, speechwriters, etc.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOkaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy, that was almost too easy. I searched ‘NLP Obama’ and the first site was a company selling NLP training and the rep was analyzing Obama’s use of NLP. In other words the website sells the training and cites Obama’s effective victory speech to illustrate NLP techniques. I’ll paste an excerpt and put the URL link after the quote:
“Barack Obama’s victory speech after the Iowa Caucus election contains quite a bit of powerful linguistic language patterns.

Snip

“You know, they said this day would never come. They said our sights were set too high. They said this country was too divided, too disillusioned to ever come together around a common purpose.”

The ‘you know’ does not address anybody specifically, but it causes us to go inside and feel addressed. Inside of us, we have to simply agree. Then, the “They” part, unspecified, builds a frame - us versus them, but since he speaks to supporters, well, he captures their emotions, their committments and connection to him.

In his speech, he builds a lot of pictures, such as when he says that “you have done what the state of New Hampshire can do in five days. You have done what America can do in this new year, 2008. In lines that stretched around schools and churches, in small towns and in big cities, you came together as Democrats, Republicans and independents, to stand up and say that we are one nation. We are one people. And our time for change has come.”

We all can see these lines and queues in our head now, can we not? Also, he starts with future pacing, putting people into the future, making them realise that in 2008, there will be change.”

I've been puzzled for some time over the apparent brainwashing of otherwise rational people when it comes to Obama.

Me too.

Playing along with the conspiracy theory... maybe he was being groomed for this for years... maybe he’s a Manchurian-type candidate and was himself hypnotized... hmmm.

might have something to do with his pale blue colors in the logo

Obama's logo is a Golden Dawn symbol.

I have noticed that when Obama talks, I don’t hear what he is saying. It all runs together. I would venture to guess that most of his followers have the same reaction.

Hillary is also fond of using, “You know”. Hers is clumsy though, like she’s read about it but has no formal training.

YouTube has a catalogue of newsreels of AH. Watch them. Pay special attention to his eyes. Then watch videos of BO. Pay close attention to his eyes. The similarities are there for all to see.

I hope not. Hitler was an occultist believed to be using the Norse pantheon. He allegedly assumed a godform before speaking. Hitler by himself was not a good speaker.

“NLP would not work well on a crowd, it is more a specific one to one interaction.”

That’s the beauty of it. Before showing up at a mass rally somewhere, most people would FIRST have been exposed to BHO in an individual way: seeing him on television (which is one-to-one, between the viewer and the TV), or hearing him on radio (which is also an individual experience).

His rise to political stardom, and the unreasoning adulation his admirers -— heck, even some of his detractors — pay him is very creepy. The more I think about this, the more I think there’s something to it.

I’m also beginning to feel like I’m involved in a real-life version of the Absurdist play “Rhinoceros” by Ionesco. The Obamunistbots are all walking around wearing rhino masks. Even the RHINOs are wearing rhino masks.
