Kay Hagan Embraces Leaders of "Godless America PAC"
Red State ^ | October 19, 2008

Two minutes and thirty seconds is all it takes to see why you need to support Elizabeth Dole.

Two minutes and thirty seconds is really all it takes to watch this:

What is it?

It documents Kay Hagan's ties to the Godless America PAC.

Godless America PAC is a legitimate organization that denies there is any such thing as God. They want to remove "In God We Trust" from our currency. They want to remove God from the Pledge of Allegiance. They even, no kidding, want to get rid of Christmas as a federal holiday.

Seriously.

And one of their board members, who is also in a group for "secular Americans" invited Kay Hagan up to Massachusetts for a fundraiser.

Yes, the Godless America PAC supports Kay Hagan, ladies and gentlemen. Hagan says North Carolina needs someone in Congress advocating for North Carolinians every day of every month of every year. I suspect North Carolinians don't know Hagan is perfectly willing to take money from people who advocate getting God off the money, out of the pledge, and ending Christmas as a federal holiday.

Here is an easy way to support Elizabeth Dole.

I don’t know what Kay Hagan’s personal beliefs are, and maybe she doesn’t agree with this organization. But the fact that she attended a fundraiser by them reflects on how she will vote on some major issues, so questioning her about it is legitimate.

Methinks Lizzie is gonna get her tuckus handed to her by the DemoCrooks of the Ole Tarheel State. If she had done SOMEthing for NC, ANYthing that had some impact on the lives of voters... mebbe she’d stand a chance against smooth tawkin’ Hagan. As it stands now, I’ll still vote for Lizze, a fine woman and great supporter of veterans in this state. But, I fear the worst as Hagan will be no more than a puppet for Reid and his cronies. :(

I’m surprised that Hagan is running so strongly. Hopefully, this ad and her real record will get Dole reelected.

Yep, Dole is done. It won’t even be close. I voted for her and will again, but have been way less than impressed. I’m afraid our only hope in NC is the governor’s race and I doubt that comes through either.

Hagan has insulted every male in the state with her “rocking chair hayseeds” ads.

Dear goodness, the election is still over two weeks away and Hagan met the “Godless America” PAC - snap out of it! What, is Dole down 15? I think not.

What’s the spread in the race? How can Elizabeth Dole - a Dole - lose to some two-bit state senator?? What the hell is going on in our formerly great South?

These are very credible national Republicans. This would be an absolutely embarrassing party loss - on the scale of Allen or Santorum.

I don’t like what I’ve been seeing from NC. Dole has put her candidacy on auto-pilot, and in this cycle, that’s a recipe for disaster. Her own husband nearly lost reelection to a second term in 1974 (indeed, he was trailing near the end until he went for the jugular against his liberal rodent Congressman opponent, which just barely saved his bacon). The question is whether she’s willing to similarly attack. We may pick up the Governorship and lose the Helms seat for the first time in 42 years, absolutely inexcusable.

The latest polls show Hagan with a small lead, anywhere from two to five points.

Part of the problem here is that Dole is seen as a dilletante, which is reinforced by the fact that she hasn’t visited the state much.

Godless America PAC is to Kay Hagan what Jeremiah Wright would be to John McCain if he weren't a squish. Go for it, Dole.

NC *Ping*

Please FRmail MitchellC if you want to be added to or removed from this North Carolina ping list.

I don't think so. McCrory is going to win a couple of cities that usually go to the Dems - Charlotte and Greensboro. The margin will be quite huge in Charlotte, I expect, and I suspect Perdue think so as well. Which would explain why she's now trying to turn this into a rural vs. urban race.

So I do expect McCrory to win, perhaps by more than McCain will, and those two together will drag Dole across the finish line. If she runs ads about Hagan and Godless PAC she won't have to be dragged.

Democrats in Charlotte have been electing McCrory for years, zot knows why. Democrats in Monroe were voting for him on Friday when I was working the poll - I heard some telling the Democrat Party campaign workers.

McCrory appeals to the uptown white collar crowd. I bet he'll be sharing a lot of those voters with Obama, oddly enough.
