LAS VEGAS A 6-year-old boy kidnapped from a Las Vegas home by alleged drug dealers posing as policemen has been found alive in a neighborhood northeast of the Las Vegas Strip, police said early Sunday.
The child was "in extremely good condition" and had been taken to University Medical Center in Las Vegas for examination, Las Vegas police Capt. Vincent Cannito said at a news conference.
"He is safe and in our custody," Cannito said. "It's a blessing this child has been found."
Cole Puffinburger was recovered at around 10:30 p.m. Saturday after a caller informed detectives about a child walking alone on a street in a middle-class neighborhood of tidy, modest-sized homes about 5 miles from the Las Vegas Strip, Las Vegas police Officer Jay Rivera said.

The caller could have been one of the kidnappers or connected to the kidnappers who let the boy go because there was already too much heat and the only way to reduce that heat was to let the boy go unharmed.
Exactly! Northeast is least, and very dangerous place after dark. Northwest is best, and safe urban neighborhood. Northwest corner of Vegas is about the only place I can imagine that houses will hold their value compared to the thrown up houses, and other multiples dwellings that make up the city.
Now, let's go after the Drug Dealers!

Well, there’s one thing we know for certain: if he was found in front of a Methodist church, he certainly wasn’t looking for God.

No, but maybe they found Jesus? <;^0
Thugs who kidnap at will control Mexico and most of South America. The FBI needs to execute these criminals and send a message that all minions of drug lords, who resort to kidnapping will be snuffed out. Make it a capital offense. Otherwise it is likely to become like Bogotá here in the US.
Good news about a kid with a bad, bad grandpa!
I got relatives in Nevada they told me probably reason let him go because heat was on
And kidnapping a kid in the US is bad for business you know those mobsters they are kinda morally old fashioned
Was that Italian mafia???
Mexican drug cartel running rampant and boldly kidnapping little children? I’m afraid to ask what’s next. This is what you get with open borders, which won’t be changing with the next administration.
Ain’t that the truth. This kid could have been another statistic no one would remember.
No problem whatsoever. I heard it on KGO and posted with a different article, adding the update, because it was not even in print yet. I just added the link for additional reference. I was in Las Vegas on business when this happened. Unbelievably shocking to think what our good neighbors to the south have done to this nation.
I guess these cartelitos made a business they decision.
The hell to be brought down if they killed that little fella was not worth the paltry few million in question.
For the record....it is unusual for Colombian drug lords to kidnap or kill the kids here in the US over business squabbles...it has happened...Jackson Heights for example but it rare and frowned on
in Colombia it’s another story
I would not allow a child to enter my home or occupy my premises without the specific consent of a custodial parent unless that child was clearly in need of immediate, urgent medical care or was in clear and present danger in the public place. To do otherwise would be inviting police harassment and the increased chance of civil litigation.
Glad to hear they found the boy.
Roger that ...
Amen and Amen!
Where do you get all that?
The caller could have easily been on a cell phone and waited with the boy for police to respond. They have not released specific information about how he was found, who called, if the reporting person was on a cell, standing with the boy, etc etc.
The only fact that seems evident here, is that someone called and the boy was picked up and is now safe. I'd guess that is a good thing.
Sad, but you are right.
