ST. LOUIS - Under the Gateway to the West, the St. Louis arch, Barack Obama addressed an estimated 100,000 people in the red Show Me State just 17 days before the general election - his biggest rally to date in the United States.

He was walking along the road, and I
asked him "where are you going?" this he told me:
Said, "I'm going to the collective farm,
gonna join in upraising my hand,
gonna live in 0bama-land,
and sell my soul, see..."
I doubt all of these people are Missourians. Probably bussed and flown in at 0bama campaign expense.
MO is the SHOW ME state. What has 0bama shown anyone?
#180 was for you two. Sorry.
“I lived there. Hell, I still live in Missouri. That picture is photoshopped. Period. There may very well be 100k people at an Obama rally, but that one picture is so phony that its not even laughable.
I-70 runs through there on upper AND lower levels, about 8 lanes across. You cant even SEE the courthouse from down there at the Arch.
Ridiculous.”
Looks like the three of you doubt the picture to be truthful. Would be great to show this for all on FR to see in another thread titled: “Might Be 100,000, But Picture Is Photoshopped!”
That was my impression of the article too. If/When it’s proven this is an undoctored photo, then I’ll believe it, but not until.
That's not the shadow of the arch.
Here's an overhead view of the arch. The red line is the arch, the green line is approx. where the shadow is that runs dircetly across the crowd. There's no way, at any time of the day, can the sun cast the arch's shadow running directly across the crowd as seen in the bottom picture.
Did you happen to see this picture at the link below put out by CNN? Three pictures: one of Sarah, Then Obama crowd, then Biden.

OH WOW! Something is beginning to smell with that picture!!
Billy Joel and Springsteen is to be campaigning with obama...I am sure THAT and the weather is the big draw!
Actually Obama's got a rally in KC tonight, on the lawn south of the National World War I Memorial. If I recall correctly the gates open right about now, and Obama will address the masses at 6.
Exactly.
You cannot see the courthouse from the Arch. There is an upper and lower level of interstate there, eight lanes across..
That picture is pure horse$#!t.
I believe that it has been only blue states that have done it so far, so it can’t hurt McCain.
Do the trees look abnornal? On the sat. pix you can easily country the trees.
I stayed home. Sickening, really. A Saturday on National Park Service grounds smack dab in the middle of the metro area with easy access to all highways and mass transit. Only the Cardinals get bigger crowds.
Don't forget that the Arch grounds are on the Illinois/Missouri border and that there is easy access from the other side of the Mississippi. That wasn't all Missouri side people.
I think the area from the trees back is photoshopped.
It simply doesn’t look like that down there.
With a pedestrian bridge into downtown.
This is absolutely correct. I am right now looking at a photograph that was taken from the air beside the arch cclearly showing the highway between the Arch park and the area beside the brown hotel.
Do the trees run all the way to the capital? The trees on the sat. graph look less than those on the picture. The shadow line running across is bothersome. I don’t get how in that picture it looks like there is no freeway there. Did they close it down for the rally? Is it below ground? WHAT?
