Halbfinger was a gossip columnist for the Slimes in Tinseltown, but couldn’t cut the mustard there. Just goes to show how times have changed. Sinatra used to sing of New York that “if you can make it there, you’ll make it anywhere...” but Halbfinger couldn’t make it anywhere, so he had to go to the New York Times where he could make it up.
