MELBOURNE, Florida (CNN)- At a rally in Melbourne, Florida Friday evening, Senator McCain revealed he had called Joe Wurzelbacher.
I talked to him this morning for the first time ever, said McCain. And I want to tell you his sprits are good and hes a tough guy. He is what small business people all over this country are all about. They are tough and they are good and they want to get ahead and they want to keep their money. McCain did apologize to the Ohio resident for thrusting him into the media spotlight on the night of the debate according to McCain press secretary Brooke Buchanan.
The night before he called, he appealed to Joe on CBS's Late Night with David Letterman. Joe, if youre watching, Im sorry, he said into the camera.
Buchanan did say that the Arizona Senator invited Ohios most famous voter to meet up with the campaign but did not set up any specific stops.
McCain has a rally in that state on Sunday but Buchanan said she didnt know whether Murzelbacher would appear.
When asked why he called Joe, Buchanan said, I think he just wanted to reach out to him.
Whether Joe is there in person or not, he is certainly a star at McCain events. McCain urged others at the rally to contact Joe and share their support. Send Joe an email and tell him you are with him, ok, said McCain.
And the crowd definitely seemed to be full of Joe supporters as well as John supporters, with people at the Melbourne rally were wearing tee shirts with a picture of a name tag on them that said, My name is
Joe the Plumber and holding signs about Joe like one on stage that said, Joes dough, not Obamas.

There will be a run on plungers this weekend for people wanting to take them to rallies (McCain AND Obama rallies).
That’ll be good for the economy!
I think it would be great if Joe the Plumber went on the trail.
He will be on Huckabee on Sunday night.
I sure hope this turns out to be the election’s defining moment.
The first time he opens his yap, his big puppet head has nothing in it but the usual liberal contempt for the "working man" they supposedly love.
On its own this may have been a one-day story, but it connects with his comments about people in Pennsylvania and their religion and guns--it shows the pattern of his thinking.
Don't underestimate the power of those earlier comments--people don't need to be TOLD, they can make the connections themselves...and now they're starting to wonder about this guy.
WE’RE ALL PLUMBERS NOW
Yes whether the name is Joe the Plumber or Bill Gates, its their money not Barack Obama’s money!
I watched the interview the press had with him (it was posted on youtube, I think.) He touched on the economy, the war and success in Iraq, being proud to be an American, etc. The guy’s better at articulating what’s wrong with Obama’s platform than McCain is...get him on the stump and let him talk!
“Ich Ein Joe the Plumber” !!!
It is FRIGHTENING what has happened to Joe the Plumber.....GESTAPO TACTICS!!! Thank you Democrats for showing your true colors and your BLACK HEARTS!!!
Joe the Plumber versus Bill the Bomber.
To paraphrase the old commercial ditty...
Call Joe the Plumber
that’s the name
and away go marxists
down the drain
How do you like how they’ve dragged out That One’s plumber to get a few more kicks in at Joe?
My aunt is a democrat because she says the democrats are for the little man (eye rollage). This is another classic example of how the democrats attack and assault the little man with not just their words, but their ideas and policy.
It's brilliant, isn't it?!? A gift from God in the final weeks of the election. A humble plumber who easily summarizes the winning issue with one question, becomes a national symbol against socialist oppression and gives us a handy "token of resistence" represented out of all things...a plunger.
In my mind, it's stirring how the Lord can take the least of things and raise them in this way. It's no accident. It's providence.

I HATE THE LEFT.
The Democrats do not understand that Joe the Plumber an Sarah Palin are what America is all about.

From Obama’s lil red book.
“All power comes from the handle of a plunger”.
> Ich Ein Joe the Plumber !!!
That would be, “Ich bin Joe the Plumber”
